Suddenly The Whole Picture Becomes Clearer

"OK I've had two whole days to think.  Now I'll tell you what I've determined"
Randy Rhodes almost along among talk show hosts has wondered about communaques between the United States and Vladamir Putin over the years.  The older of those two bomber brothers made one six month trip to Dagistan (pronounced Day-gistan and not Dag-istan by the Federation)  But Randy wants to know just WHAT about this particular family brought them to the Atttention of the Russian government.  But also the question arises as to why the Soviets initially wanted to help the FBI in their investigation of the older brother, and then slam the lid down hard and refuse to investigate further.  So some have accused the FBI as getting "secret orders' from the Obama administration because we all know President Obama is really in league with Al Qaeda and they have some central headquarters where all of their "sleeper cell" terrorists are trained and then unleashed on this country when the time is right.  FOX news and Glen Beck say all sorts of things.  We keep hearing about "false flag opperations" to somehow to try and gin up terror in this country in order to get more restrictive gun laws passed here that wouldn't get passed any other way.  However the actual twist to this whole thing is just as conspiritorial in its own way.  The line is now is that this whole terror family in Dagistan could not pass back and forth between the United States and the Soviet Union unless somebody were "greasing the skids' so it were with the right Visas and all.  Because normally when a government (such as ours) grants Assylum- - it means you'll be killed or something if you seek to ever return to your homeland.  Yet this family made several trips back and forth without fear.  So now it's argued that Vladamir Putin is more EVIL than we ever dared imagine.  He WANTED the Marathon Bombing to happen so he could say to the United States "You see- those Al Qaeda terrorists got you too. Now you know what we've been up against all these years".  The trouble is that three innocent victims had to die in this scheme, including an eight year old boy with his whole life ahead of him.  But to Putin - people are just pawns in his meglomania schemes to - - put on the next Olympics or whatever.  He's going to "clear the terrotory of the riff raff" and gas or otherwise extermanate all the Chechnyan rebels, without any flack from the United States.  Needless to say if I were the President right now I could compose a lengthly "apology" statement or sorts and compell Putin to sign it, or else I'd publicly humiliate Putin by breaking off all diplomatic relations in a manner that would rival Jennifer Horton breaking up with Daniel Jonas.  The United States has absolutely no use for a meglomaniac like Putin.  We have nothing to gain economically or in any other way from continuing to associate with this slime ball!

One wonders when this recession that’s five years and counting going to end.  As I think I said- - earlier in the day AT&T had not yet made its withdrawal of my account, so I even now still don’t know whether or not I am overdrawn.  But April 22nd in addition to it being Earth Day was also the day that air traffic controllers went on unpaid furlough one day every two weeks, and many flights were delayed three and four hours.  Last weekend a popular Air Show had to be canceled.  Some say that is “ordinary” ie Rich people begin to feel the pinch - - if it isn’t just day care centers and head start that’s cut- - then they themselves will raise their voices to congress.  It seems even tea baggers must be fed up.  And personally I’m almost as fed up with the President on this issue as I am at John Boehner because the President has the power to end this all, and he isn’t doing it, but prefers to make some “political point” about raising taxes.  I have no doubt if the President took higher taxes off the table this whole crisis hanging over us all like a Sword of Damaclese, would resolve itself in a few hours.  But the President won’t do it.  And in California- - it seems even Autism therapy programs are being terminated and already certain participants are regressing in their progress made in the program against their autism.  Clearly this whole sequester thing is penny wise and pound foolish.  Dennis was talking the other night how of course the US is at war in Afghanistan because despite what we say, we really do want to maintain control of the opium crop to keep the prices down and so this country doesn’t have to go crawling to Russia.  Here is one more reality check.  When the LA Police screw up like they did in shooting out that car with the mother and daughter women delivering newspapers- - it isn’t the Police Department pays but the LA tax payers.  You people in LA take it on the chin when your police department screws up.  I am still for Eric Garsetti because there is not enough space here to chronicle the downturn that Los Angeles took after 1973 when Thomas Bradley became mayor.  And things didn’t begin to improve till Bradley was long gone.  So please don’t drop his name in polite party conversation- - because it’s only a reminder for a lot of Los Angeles residents of a twenty year (wow!) period in their history that they would rather forget.

We lost a rock icon yesterday.  I don’t mean Richi Havens but rather Christina, the singer from the Devinyls.   The hit “I touch myself” was actually first done by Blondie, though the 1991 version is the classic version everyone listens to.  The video is great.  She has (or had) aged a lot since then, and if it were me, that would be enough to send me into major depression seeing how hot I looked then, and how I look now.  (I’d be a real stinker of a husband in a long term marriage)  I was informed by my friend from The Other Side that “She is a Romulan but an unusual kind of Romulan who spent a lot of time on Sirius B.  It was later I found out she was from Austrailia.  Of course Bon Scott started off in Austrailia and ended up on Sirius B.  Apparently she wanted it made known that “I still want to be accessable to my fans”.  In other news we finally got that confirmation that “Susie and the Banchees” is in that same group with the B 52’s in the group I call “The Second Wave”  (see previously)  By the way as you know I have a “David Bowie” station on LAST.FM.  However certain groups such as Brian Ferry and Roxy Music - - are NOT included among the Drewanians.  The Drewanians are actually a fairly tight knit group consisting of David Bowie, Jethro Tull, Ian Hunter,  Iggy and the Stooges, alias Iggy Pop or whatever, Lou Reed as a solo artist, and Mick Ronson as a solo artist.   Chris Carter said that the Pretenders were produced by Chris Thomas.  There seems to be absolutely no “underlying theme” or thread to the groups that Chris Thomas groups.  But in my humble opinion if you like the way The White Album sounds- - credit Ken Scott more than Chris Thomas.  Mal Evans- - agrees with me that “Revolver” is the best album is the best album the Beatles ever made, in terms of how it sounds.  And you people know my views on the Rolling Stone album “Exile on Main Street”.  Rather than being the poorest album sound-wise in the first half of the seventies- - it’s the BEST sounding album my opinion and the things that I like about it are that it is not “tinkered around with” and you actually get to hear for yourself the Group the way it really sounds- - without a lot of bullshit processing.  Just to voice another slice of oppionon as long as Chris Carter brought up the topic - - “Piper at the Gates of Dawn”  - - I like this album for the Sound.  The first thing I noticed in Floyd’s second album is the muddier sound and you could no longer “hear all the way through the music”.  “Piper” had a certain “sixties sound magic about it that no other Floyd album possesses.  By the way, the best Led Zeppelin album in terms of sound quality- - is unquestionably Led Zeppelin IV.   Do you agree?

They want to raise the age at which you can buy cigarette to twenty-one.  I have a much better idea.  Actually enforce the drinking age of 21 especially at College fraternity parties and initiations.  Station police presence extra heavy on hazing week, and make a whole lot of arrests.  In fact as far as I’m concerned you can trim back the time bars close to one AM instead of two.  Just think of the enormous amount of arrests you’d be able to effect that way and cut down on that last hour when you’re probably too drunk to remember anyhow.  I’ve never stayed till two AM in a bar in my life.  But till today there was a proposal that bars be allowed to remain open till four AM.  I categorically reject the notion that “cities with four AM closing times don’t experience higher alcoholism rates”.  I don’t care if we are at a “disadvantage” in luring concention traffic.  Just inform people from those other places that we have certain sobriety standards out here, capish?  But the state senate just rejected this proposal anyhow.

I still need to call the bank to see if they have tapped my account for the April AT&T payment, and if so, how much?  However that problem was already alleviated in a major way.  Just before or at three I was out on the patio - - having had only three whole cigarettes the entire day, the last one being from Glen.  He was amazed when I told him I’d had only two all day.   Janet noted my need and offered to lend me ten dollars.  I informed her I could pay her back one week from early tomorrow morning.  I went right one with the bill and bought one pack of John Black grape.  I went looking for Pete to pay him the two I owe him, but he went out to dinner with Marsha.  I owe Janet a lot.  I also owe her for that chocolate pie and coffee she gave me and Bill right around one o clock.   My name was not called for Money draw.  In fact all sorts of names weren’t called for Money Draw, including Jay, who would have been ahead of me in line if - - .  But I went down just after two and waited for Dora to come with the coffee.  There was some different bird in a separate cage, making noises.  Leeshia was letting her pants right awfully low, to show the wrong kind of cleavage, if you know what I mean.  She was with Silva and a new lady named Michelle.   I had Randy Rhodes on at the usual times- and I’ll make this a major blogger topic later.  Nicole did something I’d have probably done sooner were I her.  I got mad at this Christian moral corset she was forced to endure day after day.  It’s downright chafing.  She had a pent up need to let her hair down and be herself a little,  Unfortunately her timing was off and Father Eric caught her and that new guy kind of going at it right there in Eric’s office.  Eric is not in any real position to “play the moral card” and I would have handled the situation entirely more tactfully.
