We have more grizzly
facts about that furtelizer factory explosion last night in West Texas. First there was a fire and from what one
person said- - because there was anomium nitrate there- - the concentrated ammonia
like anhydrous H2SO3 - - becomes much more volatile and dangerous when exposed
to water and so exploded. It’s too bad
someone with a degree in basic chemistry didn’t think of this in advance. The blast effects were indeed horrendous, and
other sources have covered this. Apparently even a hundred miles away blast effects were felt. Of
course ammonium is what they would call a free base - - and at the risk of
sounding like something Jay would say - - it’s the ammonia in white cigarettes
that “free bases” and acts as a catalyst to speed up nicotine’s reaction when
it gets into the blood stream of the body.
They said that the Boston bombings were equivelant to one stick of dynamite. However- - this furtelizer plant explosion
was several times bigger than the Oklahoma City bombings of 1995 and in fact- -
were equivelant to a whole dump truck full of dynamite. I cannot even fathom what size of explosion
that much material would produce. But the town of West Texas was forty miles away or something- and was virtually wiped out by the blast, and many lost their hearing temporarily. They say that the blast is squivelent to a 2.1 earthquake. Needless to say that not not even an Atomic Bomb can duplicate the sort of release of energy force of a higher earthquake like the 6.8 earthquake of Northridge we had. If there is anyone out there with pull with The Almighty, this season of "Hell Week" would be the perfect time to get busy with that.
The FBI is now capable
of stringing together a composite progress video of those two latest suspects
in the Boston Marathon bombings. Face
recognition software has come a long way.
The photos shown on TV were about the same quality as the one I
have. The FBI is now telling you to talk
to all your friends and neighbors- - if any of them attended the Marathon. Of course by way of bragidocio - - that “Disneyland’
photo heading up the previous blog I worked on last week - - is what you might
call a “real space” composite - - meaning the cloning was done in the 3 D space
format and is part of the original file- - and you can see that the four photos
seen are not identical but each one is done from the “correct perspective”. In other news that K C guy from Corinth,
Mississippi – a small town of 14,000 -
is an Elvis impersonator, and if he’s as good as the audio depicted him - - I’d
give him an A minus, and I’m not an easy grader. It seems that K C has met Wicker and that even
a Republican from the South thought this guy was a little “off” talking about
freezing body organs. But his rendition
of “Blue Swade Shoes” was right on the mark. I know my Elvis. Some have stated that this week from the 15th
to the 20th may be the most violent week ever in American
history. On another “agricultural” note
- - Bill Press the other morning was talking about genetically engineered food
products, and how the Food and Drug Administration is powerless to ban these
foods even on safety grounds. Some other
law passed by Congress supersedes the FDA on this one. My view on genetic tinkering is that it
should only be undertaken “prayerful consideration” which sounds like an
oxy-moronism coming from me, a person who doesn’t believe “That you can petition
the Lord with Prayers”. Look at it this
way - - some powerful force- - call it “God” or nature or Evolution or what
have you- - has been carrying out the process of evolution a long time- - and I
think it’s just very unwise of us mortals to tinker with nature like this,
without paying a severe price.
The LA Lakers made it into the playoffs with a seventh "seed", which is way better than people were expecting. They have been playing really well without Coby Bryant. Routing for the Rockets in this one was trying to stop a steam roller. Just for icing on the cake- - the Utah Jazz lost to the Memphis Grizzlies. They will be showing game one of round one of the never-ending play-offs this Sunday when the LA Lakers square off against the San Antonio Spurs. We're lucky to be able to watch this game on free TV.
We have a couple
messages from the Other Side from Stu Baby.
I was thinking perhaps I had completely pegged Wendy Gruel wrong- - and Bones
chimed in “No you didn’t. She can’t be
trusted”. Also on the matter of the
kindergarten kids they showed a pre school or whatever where selfishness was
discouraged because “It only creates a sense of entitlement to those kids who
are without”. They went on to explain
how mentally healthy this is for the kids to not be compelled to share their
blessings. It kind of struck me as
similar to the sort of stuff you hear in fundamentalist churches about “Everybody
is different and you should seek that which God has blessed with someone else
with”. I was rolling all of this over in
my brain and musing how many things- - such as coffee drinking – doctors have
completely reversed their positions on.
But as I thought of this Stu appeared “The reason why you haven’t heard
this talk before is because it is Wrong.
The world would be a disaster without mankind’s impulse, or even the
Simion community- to share things with each other”. Well, I don’t want to ever be pegged as “worse
than an ape”. Before dinner I screen
captured that Obama press conference photo of yesterday afternoon on the vote
failure. It seems about five or six gun
bills were voted down yesterday- - even some which might even have a provision
or two in them that would help gun owners.
They fell one and all fell short of the sixty votes needed. I also bagged that suspects photo. I’m just not getting the Vibe on this
one. I don’t think these are the two
guys that did it. Of course I’m only
seeing one moment in time- but that’s my initial impression.
Walt Disney has announced that starting in the year 2015 they are going to release one new Star Wars movie every year. It's too bad they couldn't just start with this year. It's not like they haven't had enough time since the last movie "Revenge of the Sith" or whatever in 2005, a movie I still haven't seen, but would like to. I'm surprised they haven't shown it on ABC TV yet like they've done with all those Harry Potter pictures. We all have a temptation to "go to the dark side of the force". For instance I can think of one person - - who if he were "taken out" sumarily shot- - cameras rolling preferable - - would permanently End the whole gun regulation log jam once and for all. How many Americans when confronted with this tantelizing moral choice- - wouldn't consider the proposition "The End justifies the Means". Of course I'm not going to tell you who I'm thinking of. As the sixty year old song says "You can't be arrested for what you're thinking". You wonder about the proposition that we and all nature "is mostly energy" and that the whole "binding force" surpasses the presence of quarks by a ratio of ten to one. I had some kind of a flash dream the other night of some powerful explosion and the announcer says "This is human life created by God". Wayne Dyre says that there is a little God in all of us. But if you call Energy as God, then there is a LOT of God in each of us. And Jehovah didn't see fit to write in The Ten Commandments "Thow shalt not attempt to split the Atom". Many are still perhaps hung up on this "God particle thing". Let me help you out. Remember there is a fixed ratio between what we call Mass and what we call Time. Not time in terms of hours or minutes or opportunities- - but Time as an isolated generic entity. Believe it or not it isn't the easiest concept to grasp - but hopefully a few of you will have a "light bulb moment' out there. But don't fear time "warping" easily. You have to crank up the Gravitational Field into the strastosphere- - to have any noticable effect or "warping" of time in the sense of- - for instance a warped LP record. (The analogy makes more sense than at first glance) We can also surmise that the - - strength (some may say Dynamic) of Mass and Energy (tied together like star-crossed lovers) is polar, meaning like magnetism - - it has an opposite. Also in common with magnetism - - is that neither Gravity nor Magnitism comes in "waves" per se. As I fruitlessly tried to explain one day - - what we know is AC current is artificially induced waves due to the "cutting of the flux lines" which themselves are artifacts of the laws of magnitism - - analogus to the rings of Saturn collecting gas by mutual gravitational attraction. Per se - - isolated magnitism does not come in "Waves" and the same is true for "Gravity". You can prove this for yourselves- I'm not going to tell you the Answer- - but there is one Question you could ask yourselves- - that would instantly resolve the problem. Now the only thing we need is the polar opposite of "heavy". We tend to think of "weightless" as an absolute state, which inherently can go no lower. But modern day science is disputing this long held chestnut. It may indeed be possible to "suck the energy out of the room", which many say is the effect that Evil malcontents have on them - as a social group. I've given you enough to ponder for today.
