Today April 24th is the anniversary of a minor tragedy in history. I'm referring to the death of Pete Ham of Badfinger, which took place on this date in 1975. It seems he hanged himself but was so drunk on alcohol with a blood level of .27% that he was probably feeling no pain. Their last album that sold well and got radio play was "Straight Up" which came out in late 1971. I'm a little fuzzy about what I was doing in late April of 1975 in a manner of speaking. That is I don't have any ready associations with any event even though I guess the fall of South Viet Nam was going on. I had had that dreadful oracular nightmare on the night of April 15th 16th. But I happened to think that in a parrellel universe why couldn't for instance- - the posthumus birth of Ham's daughter the next month be the basis of the ZAC. After all you've got a dead father who had been famous. That's been the basis of a lot of novels for sure. It just didn't happen that way - - and at no time have I ever claimed to have contact with Pete Ham, who was the lead singer for badfinger. There is that Parrellel Universe story of a couple of weeks ago which is kind of a re-working of that thing done largely on April first 1996, although the enphasis is completely different. Here the enphasis is far into the future. Pete Richards and Margie never got a divorce but instead Margie gave birth to a daughter in 1979, who did not inheret her father's good looks. But I was married to Becky though the wedding date is never specified. Only that at some time soon after our marriage I agreed to my wife's suggestion that we move to Arkansas, where we were involved in the Clinton campaigns for governor in the 'eighties. In this story I write three books. "For What It's Work" and this version it is NOT a novel about the end of the world in November of 1973 but rather "My Christian testimony" and how God had Grace in my life despite all my shortcomings and an invitation for the readers to get saved. My Second Book was not all that different. "God's Winepress", which is a prophecy book. The only difference being is that it lacks any of Mark Campbell's input- - and also stroked the reader a little more with constant lines like "Jesus Loves You" -stuff I was loathe to say. My third book is - guess what? "The Purpose Driven Life". Yeah, I know. In this book I discuss how Christ at the center of your life can give you a reason for living and ability to prosper a along the lines of some TV evangelist like Josh Mc Dowell. And in this story we have four children - - the first two are boys- - Dustin and Dana, (which of course are the names of Valerie's two boys) The third was a girl named Katrina (suspicious) and the baby of the family was named William - - kind of as a tribute to my great grandfather, Willis. And also he was called Willy - - and was about age ten when Rush Limbaugh began playing "Little Willy won't go home" on his show. Of course in this story I'm different because I fight for gay rights and am a prominent member of a liberal Christian church. (an extinct species by now)
That story was never a Dream proper that I ever had. I don't know if I dreamed this or what but is it true that the younger brother while under that boat tarp in the guy's back yard- - did not fire so much as one shot at police when approached and in fact did not even HAVE a gun?? Pinch me. Did I dream that??? I'm not really much on getting inspiration from dreams because generally they make so little sense. But remind me later. I dreamed there was another Rolling Stones album with songs I’ve never heard before (?) kind of similar to “Between the Buttons” that came out early in my senior year in high school or 1967 and I think there was live programming from the period I could watch. The other part of this dream is where Paul was coaching a baseball tame mostly of soccer moms and their kids, and there was a lot of friendly foxy babes in the bunch and they were friendly, too. And I think there were various fellowship meals this group participated in. The night before- - - I had some dream about how the US Military was about ready to indict me for some grand conspiracy. It seems I had scrawled a few primitive diagrams of some installation I’d like to in my mind - - “organize things” by. And it turned out there was a whole large military unit that was kind of a shadow government that was being run by some group and done alone the exact lines that “I had planned all out” and the government had to sift through a lot of evidence but finally fingered me. This was a real physical place with supplies of everything from food to extra uniforms. It was one of those dreams I thought maybe I woke up from and thought “maybe it was just a bad dream” but it was still going on. And then I'd wake up again - - and still I'd be in the dream.
We then come to trying to confirm Randy Rhodes' thesis we espoused in our previous post. I could not find either of those articles Randi pointed us to today. But I did read a lot of other stuff and if anything whoever wrote all those other articles almost Deliberately tried to steer the reader away from suspecting Putin, or that Anything Randi aledged on her show yesterday or today had any merit. But I want Randy to know that Mal Evans and the Federation believe it, and I believe it. It's an interesting tag line that "The only thing Vladamir Putin hates more than Democracy - - is Suni Moslems. I find it highly odd that Chuck Smith predicts that these Moslems out of southern Russia- - are now the new "Gog and Magog" of the Bible - the ultimate in Evil. Although back when me and Mark Campbell were practicing Christians - - nobody cast any aspursion on Moslems- - at least Suni Moslems. The Ayatolah didn't draw that much attention for being the Antichrist. In my prophecy book - - the one I really wrote - - "God's Winepress" I state that I believe the Antichrist will be the Russian leader. The way I put it "There will be a succession of leaders serving for a brief period of time after Breshnev dies, and finally will appear the Man of Evil, who will have a long reign even before he becomes the Antichrist". I think in my mind I may have been thinking of "The year of the five emerors' after Nero died in 68 AD before Emperor Titus took over and destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD. Perhaps. But Randi says that Putin likes Assad of Syria because - - he is kind of a kindred spirit. Yet you can't even get tea party members to agree whether we should take action against Assad. As I have told you the Federation was against the taking down of Qadafi or Mubarek - - but is actively behind the drive to get rid of Assad calling him the epitomy of Evil. But as Ranti points out- - Putin has seen to it that the news we see on our televisions is carefully crafted to induce us all to think that President Obama has finally seen the light and realized the FBI was soft and derelect in its duties and from now on the American people are going to be whipped into a freuzy they won't care if Chechnians and Dagistanis and all the other Stans- - even Uzbeckybeckystan - - are all wiped off the face of the earth, much as it would have pleased Americans if every abriginal American were wiped off the face of the land. That's how Americans are. That's how Mark Campbell believes they are- - like sheep and easily led. If I do come accross either of those two articles I'll post here the best paragraphs from them.
One of the things Pink confirmed for me- - and this news is in excess of three weeks old- - - he does not believe that either "When I get Home" or "I'll Cry Instead" were recorded in early June of 1964 by John, Paul, George, and Ringo- - as Beatle books maintain, but at a significantly earlier date such as mid April. Pink does say that he remembers that "I'll Be Back" session, when it was recorded 3/4 time and played for me all of the tapes that got edited out of Anthology I, and there were a lot of takes. Pink also claims that HE is the "John" singer on "Words of Love" but on the other hand says he did NOT do "Yes It Is" and doesn't remember that song being among the February 1965 sessions. Pink states that he and I wrote "Baby's in Black" together. (I guess that would be a scitzo collaberation inside John's head or something) This song has the inovation of John singing in harmony - - with himself- - and also the particular way in which the tambourine is employed- - started on this song. Pink spent a lot of time praising me when he learned what sort of crap I'd gone through with my family as a kid. For some reason rather than express gratitude for his empathy - - paranoia got the better of me and I began suspecting his motives. - - - By the way John claims to have met "Jim" (alias Elvis) as a disembodied spirit coming and leaving my body "through the ether mist" or whatever. You see John has had a taste of what it's like to be ME, as Jim (alias Elvis) had- - but Pink had no idea what my life was like. Now they are talking about the George Bush Presidential library and cocaine shooting free clinic. I guess the idea of someone with only a double digit IQ like George Bush even having a "Presidential library" is a little ozy-mornic. At seems Franklin Roosevelt started the idea of "The Presidential Library" and the tradition just kind of carried on, through US Presidents good and bad.
