Note - Frankie Mars could not appear today. He's back home in his bunker inspecting the brand new AK 47 he just bought - - and hiding all of the Almond Joy wrappers before Mal Evans pays him a visit later. There is no truth to the roomer that his 1979 DMV photo was the original sleeve photo of the Jimi Hendrix single "Highway Child". But as the truckers say "Catch you on the flip side. And I'll be here to make that pitch Another Day.
A philosopher in the Middle Ages once put forth the proposition "The truest things in life are most likely the Simplist Explanation". Now we proceed. It’s
coming up on twelve thirty on this Saturday April 20, 2013, which is that
dreaded day in my own reckoning that the portent dream took place in early
January of 1992 so I was especially curious to see what this day would actually
be like. Well it dawned overcast
initially but the overcast faded away very quickly. Last night as you can see from the material
above that capture of “suspect number two” was imminent. They say it occurred at 8:42 Boston time last
night when it was dark there but light here.
I noted the time when they announced it as 5:43. They just “announced that it had occurred”. Of course he was hiding out under the tarp
all bloodied from gunshot wounds inside that boat which was in someone’s back
yard in Watertown, Mass just outside the perimeter the police had been combing
all day long. Then they had all of the
press announcements. Then it was the
send off of the police cars as they exited the area with applause and thumbs
up0 and the occasional fist pump.
Everybody was jubilant, as they should be. I had it on NBC news for some time but at
6:15 or so switched to ABC news and had that on till perhaps ten to seven. I had been out smoking some of that time. Then since Bill wasn’t here and Jeopardy wasn’t
coming on – I turned on Mike Meloy. . .
I
still do not know what station the link to the Mike Meloy show links to, only
that they play a lot of interesting music including “Paranoid” not by Black
Sabbath, but by Grand Funk, the song Paul used to listen to endlessly - - and
something that would have been very common 43 years ago on this date. Of course KNX says “Come Softly to Me’ was
top of the pops this date in 1959 and that “He’s So Fine’ was at number one on
this date in 1963. The Chiffons are of course
a Neir Reigelian group. And I guess Deep
Purple played their first concert live on this date in 1968. But this broadcast was a rerun and Mike was
talking about the secret drilling on the Arctic shelf and how Shell Oil had
gotten a court injunction to prevent protests from Green Peace or any other
protest group with a conscience. Now the
Ninth Circuit Court of California is wresting with this issue and Mike is
afraid they’ll come down the wrong way on this issue. Certain things become crystal clear- - for
instance that “Government is broken”. It
doesn’t work and those like Thom Hartman who insist that we can get it to work
is we simply “try hard enough” are falling into what EST people call “The
Reasonableness equals Rightness” trap.
But it was sometime last Summer when Stewart Sutcliffe told me after
some bad news story (I forget what) that “We aren’t going to start winning until
our side can find a way to deal with the Enemy outside his Comfort Zone”. This line, of course, is taken right out of
Saul Allinsky’s handbook of radicalism. Now I am thinking we need another solution
along the line of the “Common Sense” pamphlet that Thomas Pain was hawking
around this time of year in 1776.
Clearly “petetions to the government” were not working, and will not
work. If President Obama ever expects to
impress the other side with “occupying the moral high ground” or somehow
appearing “super reasonable and conciliatory” then he’s living in a fool’s
paradise. Hell, our side is getting nose
bleeds from occupying the “moral high ground”.
If we want to solve the problem- - if we deem it a problem that can’t be
allowed to go on- - then we have to come up with a methodology or solution that
WILL solve the problem. For it is
written “Injustices while still endurable- - will continue to have nothing done
about them” or something. I told you that I thought a well placed Assassination
would do the trick. And I think one candidate shines out among all
the prospective targets of the right and that is [name withheld on fifth amendment grounds] Here is a man who influences millions- - but
at the same time were he to “assume room temperature” could night rightly
garner mourners among those who took Christianity seriously. (which is a dubious assumption in itself) Here is a man whose anti gay credentials on
the Gays issue are weak at best, and I myself have attacked this guy – from the
right. His credibility or “performance”
on most any other issue Christians consider important- - is downright
shameful. I could cover this pages full
of Bible verses for the whole rest of this page and still not run out of
verses. Still this man has come to be a
downright icon and “front man” for the right wing cause. You know- - there was a debate among the Conspiritors
who slew Julius Ceasar- - as to rather they should also slay Mark Antony at the
same time. But Brutus stepped foreward
and said “No, after all we are sacrificers and not butchers. After all - - once the head is dead, then Mark Antony is merely as a disembodied
arm or leg- - and what can an arm or a leg do without the head ruling it. They speak of Sin in Christian quarters- - as
being kind of a fire triangle of the flesh, the world, and the Devil. Normally in fire triangles you need all
three. But here if you remove the Flesh-
- then the individual will commit sins not directly connected to the
Flesh. If you remove the World- - than
the sinner will perform all of his sins in Secrecy. But if you remove the Devil from this fire
triangle- - you have no way of sinning because in the milenial kingdom you will
still have the Flesh and the World- - but the Devil will be banished for a
thousand years. I would also remind you
that while the NRA was afraid of Blacks with guns such as the Black Panthers- -
and some female host grossly mischaracterized the Black Panthers on her show
the other day. She said the Black
Panthers primarily operated between 1970 and 1980 when in truth they got their
origen in late 1966 as an opposition to the “White cock” party of the south- -
because so many government outfits had the emblem of a rooster on it. And the last of the Black Panthers were
gunned down one by one in late 1971, or at least that’s my understanding of
things. Anyhow the NRA did not used to
be against background checks. But it’s
kind of funny how the lions share of victims of assanations in this country
have been liberals, whether they be Malcolm X or Medger Evars, or Martin Luther
King, or Robert or John Kennedy.
Somehow it always seems to be liberals who fall prey. So now it’s our job to make sure the shoe is
on the other foot. When one of their own
gets gunned down - - and I know they feel pretty damn safe dispite what they
might claim- - - when one of them bites the dust a Fear will fall on the tea
party like it never has before. They may
say that they “fear” Obama taking away our guns or instituting a socialist
government- - but they really don’t. It’s
the farthest thing from their minds. But
once they have tasted real Fear a whole other perception or “attitude
adjustment” will occur within them.

"I can hear Him coming
You better start a running"
(another Neir Reigelian song)
Well
yes, Dr. Levy did see fit to make it here this week and no, he did not bring
coffee for me - - that hazelnut I expressed praise for- - or any other
coffee. He said he usually picks up at
the Dollar Tree and we all said we knew where there was a Dollar Tree just less
than a mile from here. Dr. Levy said he
might have coffee for me on Monday. We
had a lengthly check-in. Leeshia brought
a new girl named Lisa- - and Silva said that she had a 37 year old son. (She doesn’t look that old) Vince still hasn’t gotten his hard drive to
his computer after literally months. Dr.
Levy does get a silver star today because he came out in favor of the Gun Bill
- - - ALL of the anti gun provisions, from background checks to straw buyers to
magazines- - and yes, a ban on assault rifles that Dr. Levy is in favor
of. As one who works around mental
patients all the time, he’s more qualified than most to have an opinion on how
fit they are. He also mentioned wife
beaters and other people who shouldn’t have guns. We then got into a discussion of “nothing”
and “Nothingness”. Dr. Levy claims that
Dennis Prager had a professor with him one day on his radio program. (I didn’t think Prager was THAT cerebral in a
long time) At any rate I expressed my
ideas on VOID or unformatted space. I
also introduced the idea of “lighter than what we think is nothing - - space
and matter. I was elevating the class
intellectually this day. I told him
about where I was on the subject of “Infinity” and referred to my now classic
piece in Word in September of 2004. I
got Dr. Levy to say that he actually liked that thing I sent him a couple
months ago now at least. (It’s from a
lengthly blog from early last fall) But
he said “I don’t have it any more. But
send it again and I’ll endeavor to print it out and share it with the class”. Generally when we do these “check ins” most
people have little to say, and it’s only a minority (like me) that end up
consuming the most time. I wish Arleen
would get back into her Art. Dr. Levy
continues to be puzzled why he can no longer get internet reception in that
room.
I
guess we have one remaining thing to do.
When it was my turn to speak I mentioned various semi fictional things I
had been working on that were not yet ready for prime time- - but I backed off
when Dr. Levy asked me what they were.
I have mentioned that we had a plethora of items- - for blogging- - and
I had not exhausted them yet and that includes that skit by Mal Evans and
Stewart Sutcliffe from just after Easter.
I’m not going to do that- and didn’t blog that at the time because I
felt it trashed Mary Wells’ singing carrier- - and there seems to have been
some “agenda” I was not aware of. But
there were a few “bits” that were actually the latest things added, we might
address briefly. There was the line
about the BLANK Estates - - at the Other end of “The Long and Winding Road”. There is a reference to a certain Café - -
that once appeared in one of Ozzy Nelson’s dreams. And I was particularly impressed by the thick
and creamy milk shakes. This is a vague
allusion to that “Biker buddies” ad on the radio. But since these Estates- - are the name of
this place, that’s a no-no. And there is
reference to Janet’s upscale home that is guarded by the national guard waving
red white and blue peace signs in one hand and bricks in the other to ward off
invaders. And in the driveway is a Chevy
409 with one flat rear tire with mag wheels and four an the floor and peace
sign decals in the window. Then we
have a skit I did myself just over a week later around April 12th
which plays off of this Mal and Stu skit.
There is a line “In the year of “68” trips to the Resturant going across
the railroad tracks were common then.
But it wasn’t until just a week and a half ago that this trip was made
on foot”. There are lines like “the
sins of the grandfather are repeated in the grandson”. And “Daddy took it away – but the reason why
was never clear even now – because subsequent Playback was never again achieved”. And
this: “Jethro’s Uncle claims to be
misled about when his son would be through paying off the expensive car he
bought, but that’s only because he misread the punctuation in the
contract. There was a line about Daddy
asking his son to find Dominique, but Du Pont was not forthcoming, and the son
chalked up to having an early “seior moment” There is also the line “Du Pont
was not disappointed and suffered no money loss. I know what all of this cryptic means, and unfortunately,
you don’t.
