Falling Off The Wagon

Today was a momentus day in my life.  You wouldn’t have thought so at nine o clock.  The only thing that was different is that I still felt the anxiety about the draconian bug patrol tht will be unleashed soon.  The previous two days my morning anxiety had faded and it wasn’t noticed the whole rest of the day.  Today was different.  I had Stephanie Miller and then Thom Hartman on.  As eleven o clock approached I made my way down to lunch.  Then there was another announcement about the bug spraying.  All rooms were required to bag their belongings into throw away and keep by Sunday night.  I was under the impression we had another whole week before the spraying started.  My body was telling me of the problem before I knew it.  We had unbreaded fish for lunch and brown rice and mixed vegetables.  I had lost my appetite but managed to eat it.  I don’t remember the dessert.  I went to the liquor store and told myself I was only going to look at liquor prices.  But when I saw the Tacotte beer at $2.19 for a 24 oz can I decided to buy it.  I took it home and popped the lid.  It was the first time in eighteen years that beer had passed my lips and I tasted the taste of it and felt its soothing effects.  I wondered why I hadn’t done it much sooner.  I decided to drink at a leisurely pace.  I went out and told the others I had ended my eighteen year ban on alcohol.  I also looked over the areas to be considered trash and figured I better “feed the kitty” so to speak.  But I’m still unsure about just what I be left with when the spraying is done that I won’t have to wait literally weeks to have returned.  I don’t get that.  I listened to Gary and Shannon and watched Days of our Lives.  Victor ordered Zander to shoot and kill Ben but he refused, claiming he’s “turning over a new leaf” for his new love Sarah.  Brady and Nicole are reunited.  At two we learned that Dorthey is getting kicked out of here because she had a few Asperin and a few Benedryl pills.  Then I watched a “Dateline” I’d seen before but didn’t remember the jury verdict.  The second verdict was guilty even though the judge made it hard for the prosecution.   They were removing pictures from the halls.  I had previously heard they were going to do the halls and stairwells on Monday.  Joselyn also told me that no action would be taken without a personalized letter spelling out all of the elaborate instructions they had alluded to on Tuesday when I first heard of it.   Eye Witness news is on behind me.  If I post a blog today this paragraph will be first.  The Trump stuff can wait.  The human side of me things that surely President Trump sees the walls closing in on him. 

ABC network news says that Hurricane Dorian has officially hit land in North Carolina.  We need to pray for all the people ravaged by this hurricane.  Then they will retire the name so we don’t have to hear about Dorian any more, that had dominated the news for the past week.  President Trump draw an extra curved line around Alabama with a sharpie.  I guess technically this is some kind of crime.  It’s just another of the endless examples of Trump’s pettiness. 

Here is one for the record books.  A 73 year old woman gave birth by C section by in-vetro furtelization.  The husband was 80.   I wonder about the ethics of such a thing.  Now they are trying to tell us that it is the couple’s first child.  Un-believable!  

Brother Bart drove up in his car and I resolved to attend the Bible Study but first I wanted to cool down my system with Coke.  Last night I was hot and doused my head with water and also deliberately drank water and waited on the coffee.  Brother Bart was just getting going.  Some lady gave the introductory prayer in a firey fashion.  Bart’s message was on getting out inheritance from God because we are “sealed” with him, much like a letter or a last will and testament is sealed till the day death comes.  Although this time it’s our death.  This man inherited a fancy Bible but it was decades before the impoverished guy realized that there were five thousand dollars scattered throughout the pages of the Bible.  After a while I left when Cathy Knowell started speaking.  After a smoke it was time for the start of Eye Witness news.  But it was just fire coverage so I decided to shave.

A Matter of Violation of Principles

It just occurred to me that if Jesus was willing to see ancient Israel destroyed on the principle that he wouldn’t use military violence like the Simon Zealotess song from Jesus Christ Superstar, then why didn’t Jesus intervene to stop Constantine from taking up the sword in the name of Christ as in “He who lives by the sword will die by the sword”.   Because this constitutes a major philosophical betrayal of stated principles.  This is after three now and we just had a fire drill.  It was among the shorter ones.  Kevin was out there.  Trump wants to use eminent doman to get land to use for the border wall.  This is a major violation of principles.  It used to be that when it was government land and cattle grazers were on it that they had the right to use guns against the Obama administration.  Trump allegedly said that if someone violated a law, if they went ahead in did it then Trump would guaranteed pardon you.  I’m listening to the Rick Unger show right now  Before three it was the secretary of defense and his aid making speeches and fielding questions.  I was about ready to switch when the fire drill started.  I just age two of Bill’s chocolate bars.   I wanted to talk about this League of Fascist States that Trump wants to form.  He wants the leaders of all of the desplotic nations such as the Philipines and Brazil and Turkey and Israel and Saudi Arabia all to join in in a massive land grab to get even richer exploiting the land and impoverishing the people.  The Catholic Church at the beginning of the fourth century took its pace in the league of military states, becoming what they clamed to distain.  Trump only wants Christianity modified to please Israel by substituting “God” instead of “Christ” because the Jewish citizenry still can’t stomach that one.  Did I fell you about Justice Kennedy?  Trump blackmailed Anthony Kennedy by threatening to expose his own son of financial misdeeds and involvements with Trump’s shadier financial affairs.  If this deed comes to light it could be the trip wire that puts impeachment over the top and something gets going.  We only have till September 9^th to find out.

 Now they’re saying that Trump’s hotels are crawling with bed bugs.  A lot of Trump restaurants and buffets have atrocious health standards including flies buzzing around and roaches in the food and shrimp fifty degrees below what it’s supposed to be and buffet food that’s supposed to be refrigerated like yogurt twenty degrees too high.  Trump suggested that the G 7 nations use his facilities as their lodging.  That’s not likely.  Particularly at the Doral.  This establish had over five hundred health code violations. 

Prime Minister Borris Johnson has suspended British parliament till mid October to stop them from any legislative ruling on Brexit.  Johnson wants a clean Brexit without any deals or agreements.  This will maximize the terifs and chaos upon leaving and the economy will go down at least eight percent and even business doesn’t like that.  This stunt of suspending parliamednt is something he had to get permission from the Queen to doi and she granted it.  This was like something out of the sixteenth century.  

“Miss Miller is in the house” they announced on the show this morning.  Stephanie is at home but isn’t putting in an appearance.  President Trump is now attacking FOX news openly because hey had a friendly interview with the head of the DNC yesterday and Trump couldn’t hack that.  Then there was the Presidential poll FOX released last week.  Trump also has his sights set on MSNBC because they put out a news article saying that Trump has a “Russian Oligark” co-signing a loan he got from Deuchbank.  I believe the story.  It only makes sense to me but MSNBC is in trouble for the story because they only had one source for the story and not two.  President Trump still wants his Space Force for the military takeover of outer space.  This violates a longstanding principle of peace in space.  It’s kind of akin to Hitler putting troops in the Rhineland in 1936.  

The New York Times now won’t give me a story unless I become a subscriber with my E mail address and a pass word.  Kirsten Gildebran has withdrawn from the presidential race and won’t be in the next debate.  The field of ten is set for the next debate on September 12^th.  This will be after football season starts.  But finally on the third debate they will have it all in one night with a full field of ten.   The poll showing the drop in Biden’s rating may be bogus.  One poll the other day showed Biden with a twelve point drop. 

.  On Days of our Lives the decision is being made over the past few episodes to let a psychopathy multiple killer go free out of some pipe dream promise to reveal the existance of two people believed to be dead.  To me this is like the promise of the Christian resurrection.  We haven't seen anything but have heard only words and more words.  You don't set a dangerous criminal free on the basis of words and more words with no substance.  Both Brady and Eric need their heads examined if either think they will see Nicole again.  And frankly if I were either one I’d be “Nicoled Out”.   You’ve been with the fake so long now that the real thing is there, who is going to believe it.  And if Nicole went along with this whole charade of Christin that means she could have ended it at any time and chose not to.  That means that she, too, didn’t care if she ever had a relation with Eric again.

The Brazilian Rain Forest Burning is a World Crisis

Trump is losing it.  There is something new every day.  He’s calling the Federal Reserve chairman a traitor or something for not going along with Trump’s economic plans.  No other president has ever publicly opposed his own Fed chairman like this.  Trump can’t “hereby order” corporations to stop doing business with China.  Their plans are set years in advance and it would take a really long time to get new trading partners.   The president said the Fed chairman was a bigger enemy of the state than was Chinese leader Shi, or whatever his name is.  The sheer number of Trump outrages in the past three weeks is impressive.  Apparently the president made some remark about “I am the chosen” to deal with China.  And he said something about the second coming of “God” (not Christ) in dealing with Israel.  It’s borderline whacko time.  There are rumors that Mike Pence and Governor Haley are going to conspire to drive Trump from office and take over themselves as president and vice president.  I think this is just another in a long series of liberal pipe dreams.   Such a move really would guarantee a republican defeat next year.  The loss in face alone would be an unmitigated disaster.  Think about it. 

That 21 year old deputy the other day may have been a staged attack.  I don’t want to think about it.  Here’s something else I don’t want to think about.  Justice Ruth Bator Ginsburgh has cancer again.  This time it’s in her pancreas and she had surgery for it and the prognosis seems positive for now.  Justice Ginsburg needs to hang on one more year.  You know Moscow Mitch can’t wait to ram through the next Justice nominee.  President Trump ordered an additional five percent hike in the China terrifs making 30% in all.  This is what made the Dow Jones Industrials go down over six hundred points today.  If God is the ultimate soap opera script writer of it all, then he’s got a real lulu on his hands today.  ( - )

I’ll discuss the burning down of the Amazon rain forest some other time.  I remember writing down a reference in the previous file but it isn’t showing up now.   This president of Brazil is allowing the burning to make way for farming and timber harvesting and perhaps mining.  The rest of the world is appalled but his buddy Trump will support him.  The absurd charge is levied that leftists themselves are setting the fires to get press coverage.  The scope of the fires is huge and over a thousand miles away in Sao Paulo they see the smoke.   This was the topic of Democracy Now.  Then it was Stephanie Miller.   The Brazilian rain forest generates twenty percent of the world's oxygen so it's really a world crisis and not Brazilian politics.  The world at large has an interest in preserving it.  Speaking of other people I wouldn't mind going to Hell, David Koch died today at age 79.  He ran for vice president on the libertarian party ticket in 1980 and the Republicans are fast implementing the platform he ran on that year.  How much evil do you suppose this man is responsible for.  

Today’s Days of our Lives episode was kind of an anticlimax from yesterday.  They should have grabbed and frisked Christin when they first saw her.  They can put her in custody and the questions (if any are really necessary) can come later.  I think the new surprise of the day was that “Tony killed all those people and not me”.  The reason why Tony is still being distant with Anna is that he has more baggage he hasn’t dealt with and it looks like he too will end up in prison.  I went to the front room where this lady was telling about her firsthand experiances on 9 – 11.  George W Bush is another murderer that needs to be arrested.  I picked up two Oreos on the table and got tea from Patrick.  Then I went out and talked to Phyllis.  We saw Tux kind of darting down the road.  Phyllis has seen Mayo since I have.   

.  I’ve come up with a new heresy based on reading and thinking about the Bible carefully.  It dawned on me that the Sebalians may be right.  The persons of God never speak at the same time and they never talk to each other.  They have one dedicated spokesman in different sections of the New Testament.  First the Father speaks to Jesus Christ hearing voices or something.  In Acts and most of the Epistles of Paul, it’s the Holy Spirit that takes center stage.  We are told to pray not to Jesus but to the Father in the name of Jesus in the Gospels.  In Acts it’s the Holy Spirit that enables people to speak and gives directives as to what to do.  In Revelation finally Jesus Christ takes center stage and does the talking.  He speaks to the Seven Churches and elsewhere.  It is Jesus in the seventh church who says “Behold I stand at the door and knock and whoever opens the door I will come into their heart”.  You don’t seem to find a direct appeal of Jesus directly in Acts because they preach a dead Christ who just sits at the right hand of the Father (who says nothing) and doesn’t get involved here on earth.

 .  Thom Hartman had a good show today.  He talked a lot about institutionalized discrimination against Blacks in government programs that somehow presidents Roosevelt and Truman went along with.  If anything they deserve reperations for just being chomeated out of every program to be passed since 1935, if Hartman is right.  Hartman says the biggest reason why we don’t have national health care right now is because biggots from the South never want Blacks to have it.   This should make an interesting blogging topic if my numbers weren’t so dreadful it scarcely matters what I write.  I wonder why I even try.  I had the computer on with Rob Ney right up till eleven.  The other idea put forth was an insane one.  He says the ecology crisis has to reach a bigger crisis than it is now and finally people will see the light.  The other disturbing news of the day is that Secretary of State Pompeo is a Chuck Smith believer in the rapture and the quicker we can start World War III, the better. 

.  I turned on Democracy Now.  ISIS had this suicide bomber who killed 65 members of a wedding party and that’s about as sick as you can get.  ISIS is pure violence and seemingly pure evil.  Maybe they should have the death penalty for anyone who is proven to be a member of ISIS.  We’ll just bomb them.  More and more from various sources I’m reminded about what a racist institutional government we have.  At six it was Stephanie Miller.  I got my medication at six thirty.  

Olivia knocked on the door frensiacly with her boyfriend about six o clock on Tuesday evening.  She came over to announce that Bill had died at one o clock in the hospital that day, which was Tuesday.  I still don’t know what he died of.  Olivia was sporadically emotional.  At one point I hugged her and was aware of how sweaty she was and how warm the room actually was.  I keep the window closed because I’m afraid of Augustine.  She said she would come over last night but didn’t.  I told Dorthey and Millie that Bill had died and Millie expressed her condolences.  Dorthey said “Bill is probably better off”.  I’m a little worried about the after-life for myself and wondering whether ANYBODY gets to the after-life or we’re all just dead.  Perhaps I should have witnessed to Bill more.  I mentioned Bill’s death to the med lady at the window.  She expressed condolences for my loss but said she didn’t know Bill.  It was the ABC network news, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.  At eight it was that “Pandora” thing.  It was about a female android having emotional programs and she felt something had gone wrong with her programming and she turned out to be correct.   I haven’t seen Mayo around wither Tuesday or yesterday or today.  There is a solid black kitten besides the black and white kitten.  

President Trump In The Ballance

President Trump sure is getting a swelled head.  Now he wants to buy Greenland for the United States as the first new territory in over a century or something.  You can’t blame him.  Due to global warming the island is thawing out and the place might just be habitable and real estate values could rise.  The Danish people said “No”.   President Trump is really losing it, though.  He now says that people who don’t like him must vote for him anyhow because he is the only force that is keeping the stock market up.  Otherwise it would crash, and would have crashed if a democrat were in the office.  And it will crash in 2020 if a democrat gets elected.  Of course Trump will still be the president then.  Trump is like a bratty little kid anyhow tweeting about this and that.  Joe Biden makes one of his best speeches in a long time and Trump attacks him for it calling him “sleepy Joe”.  Now the news is that refugees have to go to the territory of the Ninth Circuit Court in order to cross the border because Trump got a thing passed that no refugee could enter the USA if they failed to apply for asylum in Mexico first.  In fact I heard that if you’re leaving Honduras you have to apply in Guatemala for refugee status.   He is making it harder to get an animal on the endangered species list, too.  

In the latest FOX news poll 57% of the people disapprove of Trump.   The President is losing to Biden in the latest poll by twelve points and by nine to Sanders and seven points to Elizabeth Warren and by six to Camilla Harris.  People are saying that fifteen years ago when the Apprentice first came on, Donald Trump was pretty sharp and put on a good show.  He has faded mentally considerably in the past fifteen years.  Of course you know the news in the economy about the inverted yield curve.  This involves short verses long term interest rates fore-shadowing the next recession.  There are other indicators now that have turned negative like a recession in the trucking industry.  Fewer goods in transit means less business.  As bad as the president is in the polls now, he’ll fare much worse if this economy turns sour next year. 

.  They were discussing Israel’s aparthide policy where Palestinians can’t even travel down the same roads as Jews do.  They will be imprisoned or whatever.  For you cosmic minded people the Federation rep who talked to me said that you have to be low key about resisting the Netanyahoo government because the leadership isn’t going against Trump.  To refresh your memory from yesterday two Muslim congresswomen wanted to visit Israel and at first Israel said it was allright.  But then President Trump leaned on Israel and says he personally is opposed to their going.  So Netanyahoo reversed his position and said the women couldn’t go.  One of the women had relatives in Palestine and she was permitted to visither relatives but now she says she’s not going.  I don’t see why this isn’t one issue where the Federation doesn’t protest loudly on, but they don’t.  Yesterday Patty was saying she visited Area 51 and they have a secret underwater tunnel to sail big ships from the Pacific into the Nevada dessert.   I was just reminded of things the Federation had said before that was “If there were anything going on strange in area 51 we would have told you”.   It’s Federation territory. 

.  I had the BBC news on KCET and then I switched to the ABC network news.  China and Hong Kong were the big issues on both programs.  President Trump has not gotten involved in the conflict between the protesters and the Hong Kong authorities.  The threat is that mainland China will send in the military.  Democrats want to make a major issue of it and I agree with their desire for that.  Then it was Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune followed by that space cadet show and then Lizzy Bordon till 9:23.  I just don’t think the ghost of Lizzy Bordon is waiting to five psychics the answers to their questions.  She’s guilty as sin and let’s leave it at that.

Today’s episode could be called “Gabriel in the Balance”.  Gabriel confronted Nicole and everything she deduced about her actions was the truth.  Then Gabriel unmasked her when they got into a wrestling match.  How many people does Christin have to kill now to keep her secret quiet.  There is Zander, of course.  He’s on the verge of spilling his guts to the cops.  Then there is Tony and Anna and Gabriel, and of course Kate.  Most of these people are running scared.  She can’t kill all of them, can she?  We also have Trump in the balance.  People are pronouncing doom and gloom on his presidency including that Kuchenelli fellow.  Gary and Shannon don’t have any confidence in anything he says.  He says Trump will withdraw from the presidential race in March of 2020 when the polls show that clearly he can’t win.  The thing is that the best indicator of future actions is past actions according to Dr Phil.  And this record says that polls don’t matter now because they didn’t matter four years ago.  Now there is a new scenario where Trump will get the Republican senate NOT to certify that the next Democrat has been elected in November of next year.  It will go to the supreme court, which is, of course,  loaded with Trump judges.  People like Paul believe it’s a good thing to have right wing strong men around the world as long as their anti gay, anti abortion, and anti drugs.  It’s this whole right wing brotherhood thing happening around the world.  I mentioned the Philipines yesterday and Paul says that guy is OK.  Really the only thing missing from all this is for Israel as a nation to accept Jesus.  That way he can be truly one in fellowship with Donald Trump and Mike Pence.  They can hold Bible studies together and mix their right wing politics in with it.  I guess carrying guns to church is the new thing.  But if you preach the right to bear arms from the pulpit some say that might violate the principle of separation of church and state.  We’ll see.  

Was it Suicide or a Gangland Hit?

The big news of the day is that Jeffrey Epstein hung himself in his jail cell.  He committed suicide despite having previously been on a suicide watch.  But now they say that lasted only six days.  The whole Justice Department is pissed and his woman accusers are all mad that they won’t get to testify against him in court.  I look at it this way.  He’s dead- - just like Chuck Smith and Gene Scott and Charles Manson are dead.  All of their hopes and aspirations died with them.  In the case of Epstein since it was a suicide, I believe his descent into Hell was particularly swift.  I’m not saying Gene Scott and Chuck Smith went to hell or anything.  But they are dead, and won’t be able to spread their particular brand of religious propaganda.  Chuck Smith died seeing Obama as President and believing he was born in Africa and wants to take all our guns away in his second term.  All of the prophecies associated with both Scott and Smith are null and void now.  These two died not realizing them.  And they haven’t come true since.  I may not be that religious anymore but I still have a vestage of religion and believe that karmically the worst thing you can do is to kill someone and then commit suicide like some of these mass murderers do.  Worst of all is the killer of family members.

L A S T - T U E S D A Y

I was called by John to go to the van at a quarter to nine.  This was early.  Bruce was waiting in the hall and for a brief moment I sat in the front room to find a chair.  Then we were called out back where we had to wait for Norma.  We waited in the van.  This was a protracted wait and featured several trips up to check on her.  We left without her.   It was almost a quarter after nine.  We got to the gastro-interologist place just after nine thirty.  We over-shot the building because we were misdirected by Google to a school.  Then we were all mistaken about which side of the road the office was on.  I signed in at 9:38 for a nine thirty appointment.  There were far fewer people waiting this day.  I used the restroom.  Bruce was called in before ten and I was called in maybe ten or twelve after ten.  But it was a protracted wait.  First there was that guy who looks a little like the original John in the med room.  My blood pressure was 160 over 84 and my weight was 162, up a pound from last time.  Then that lady with the Swedish accent came in and asked me a bunch of questions.  I told her about the diaria.  There was a protracted wait to see Dr Amin and trying to get answers from him was nearly impossible.  I still don’t know what happened to that blood test done nearly a month ago now.  Finally the doctor came back at ten after eleven.  He just gave me an appointment to get another blood test to prove I don’t have the Hepatitus B virus any more.  I could tell him that.  I told people that going to this appointment was a complete waste of time and that Phyllis was right;  I should have canceled.  I just don’t like their whole set-up.  We left at a quarter after eleven and got here just before eleven thirty.  I didn’t take time to either have a cigarette or go up and check the room.  I went right to the kitchen and eventually I got my spaghetti and meat balls.  We had garlic toast and yellow squash.  I didn’t get a dessert (canned pears) or juice.  I saw down about the time Patty got up from the table.  She left me two cups of coffee and I drank one of them.  I began to wonder whether I wasn’t getting too much coffee. 


O N E - W E E K - A G O

.  I left to watch Sixty Minutes but didn’t find the first segment to my liking and Phyllis was still there in front of me and the line had hardly moved.  It’s getting ridiculous.   Sixty Minutes’ middle segment was on digging deep in the South African mines for the last of the gold.  Then they run out and the gold price will rise, I imagine.  There was some salt in the tunnels and there were little worms and other microbes in this salt, they say was spawned by ancient water.  The third segment was on this Media Lab thing by MIT they’ve had for decades.  They invent stuff that will become commercial in another twenty years.  They have invented touch screens and GPS maps and watches that read your vitals.  Now they are working on hooking up your brain to the internet.  I hardly see the advantage unless the computer can read your mind and acertain what you want to know even if you enter the wrong word and have trouble finding what you’re looking for.  I am skeptical on these artificial limbs.  I know these artificial eyes are terrible.  You can tell black from white and that’s about it.  After this it was Penn and Teller.  The highlight was this pretty twelve year old girl who did tricks with cards that didn’t fool Penn and Teller.  Then it was “Ryodine” on that space cadet show. 

People wonder about what death is like.  I've gone down the possibilities.  The number one thing is that you just cease to exist.  In that case maybe suicide isn't such a bad thing, particularly if you are in a lot of pain from cancer or some war injury.  Another is simply reincarnation where you just start life over again - in another place and body, with no memory of the past and you have to learn everything over again like a little child.  Then there are all of the notions of heaven and hell, which are more romantic.  A god with the ability to control you and either make your life very happy or very miserable need not be Thee God that we all know from our Judeo-Christian upbringing.  It may be just a very powerful figure who has apparent control over your life but down the road he may meet a god more powerful than he is.  It may be a plurality of spiritual powers like space aliens like star trek and all of these other sci fi movies.  Finally there is the notion that you can somehow "go to the other side" while still alive or somehow spy on yourself here and maybe even give yourself subconscious suggestions you later pick up on.  As you know for a while my pet theory was the idea that "ether" has a sort of "mass" itself and without its restrictions you can get "lighter than light" so as they say when the "soul" leaves the body it goes upward because its net weight is below zero as measured on the bathroom scale.  The physics of such a world are speculative and we have in the past and maybe you'll stumble on one of these postings.   The biggest operative word is UNKNOWN, and those who say they do know about death - don't know what they're talking about.   Nobody that I know of has died and come back to tell about it.  Evidence in the Bible for this is slim to non existant.

This is Friday August 9, 2019 and the 45^th anniversary of when President Nixon resigned.  Time flies when you’re not having fun.  Yesterday was August 8^th and it was the fiftieth anniversary of the Abbey Road photograph with the Beatles and the street appeared in the news all day.  It was nearly a year ago when the lead posting in “Skeletons from the Closet” first appeared.  It was about the twentieth anniversary of whenever- - - when things were better in my life and I felt younger and had more energy and I wasn’t seeing doctors every other day.  Last night the score was 7 to 7 in the pre season football game between the LA Chargers and the Arizona Cardinals.  Then I got distracted and eventually went to bed.  I need to be more goal oriented and stick with something.  Congress is off for six weeks, as you know.  I think talk of impeachment will be dead when congress starts up again in September.  The voters will tell their congressmen “we just want to think about the election.  We’re tired of wallowing in the past”.  Of course with Trump, an outrage becomes “In the past” a day or two later, and all we want to do is just forget the previous four years never happened.  Of course Trump won’t let us forget because there is a new outrage.  Thom Hartman is still a little worried that Trump may not leave office when his first or second term is expired.  For a guy whom it was rumored didn’t want the job this means fighting awfully hard to hang on to it.   They were talking about when Adolph Hitler first came to power in Germany.  That was on January 30^th of 1933.  Nothing changed immediately and the newspaper editorials weren’t concerned.  There were a million things that could happen that would keep Hitler’s tenure from being one of any length.  Of course with Trump and Hitler what we need to remember is that they are stealth candidates.  There is a lot more beneath the surface that we don’t see.  We could still have a dictatorship with Trump.  And if that happens people like my brother will still be saying “I think it’s a shame that the media in this country doesn’t respect our president”.  I’d like to know why Paul “respects” him.  What noble deed has Trump done to earn my brother’s admiration.  In the beginning nobody thought Trump had any future, but it’s as though somewhere along the line he cast a spell on them.  We hear that with Hitler that the legislature rebuffed Hitler’s “conditions” many times and each time they said, “Well, that’s the last we’ll hear from that guy”.  But each time Hitler came back.  It’s like he and God knew that he was destined for world power, or something.

I turned on Democracy Now at five thirty.  We have a Global Warming crisis for real, you know.  Some people believe it’s already too late to act, as the debate illustrated.  Google won’t refer you to left wing sources or groups.  We heard that last week.  But Google is not above smearing progressives if they are paid enough money from the right people, like reps from Monsanto.  As you know Roundup has the cancer thing, but also it’s a GMO and there legal as well as health ramifications to this.  GMO’s mess with your immune system and cause organ failure.  Neil Young put out a whole album about the activities of Monsanto, and they played a song off of it.  Maybe I’ll buy it.  Someone was saying maybe it’s OK if the democrats pick a “corporate” nominee.  I certainly hope not.  We don’t want another president like Bill Clinton, who signed a bill selling out the communications industry.  That’s too corporate for me.  But hey, “Anybody but Trump”.  Let’s hope we aren’t that desperate.  I hope Joe Biden isn’t owned by some corporation.  I haven’t heard that he was.  They say that the earth’s surface temperature is rising faster than anticipated and we are already a couple of degrees above where we should be.  We have to take decisive action on fossil fuels.  Some want us to limit our meat intake because this is inefficient use of the land.  A lot of the changes we’ll have to make are cultural changes, which take a long time to go into effect.  But we can’t have a president who believes it’s all “fake science”.  We cannot afford to have a president who doubts the existance of the problem.  It was 28 years ago when Al Gore put out “Earth in the Balance”.   Evidence has only accumulated by the ton in the past 28 years.  One can only wonder what would have happened if Al Gore had been elected president in 2000. 

The big news from Rick Unger is that Senator Mc Connell is going to allow some gun legislation to be taken up.  It might be a background check.  But more likely it’s instituting these “red flag” laws like apparently we have here in California.  That is- - if a loved one is deemed unfit or mentally unstable you have the ability to take his gun away from him.  The trouble is this won’t cut down on gun sales because the family already owns the gun.  The way Rick Unger put it, this is “emergency back pocket legislation”.   The Republicans knew there would come a day when there were too many gun mass shootings and the people would rise up and demand that congress do something, so that they can be re-elected again.  The problem is that Trump reversed the executive order given by Obama that mental patients on SSI like myself be put on a master list of people not allowed to buy guns.  This of course would stimulate gun sales, which is what the NRA wants.  Also Trump opened the door to gun sales to other countries.  Whether any of this will happen is still a mystery.  It may all be just a liberal’s pipe dream.  

I turned on the computer about twenty to six.  She talked about Trump and mental illness and how mental patients are more often victims of violence rather than the instigator of it.  Before this it was Kashmir.  The Federation spells it “Kashmeir” and they are pro Kashmir autonomy.  It’s the first time the Federation has come out of its shell since June.  My contacts with the Federation are almost non existant and they picked that issue to do it.  Then it was Stephanie.  There was a medication line so I didn’t get my medication till breakfast.  They contradicted the menu and we had sugar frosted flakes for a cereal.  After this it was a scrambled egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin.  I had just the one cup of coffee.  We had tater tots and catsup.
