Note how both items in parenthes on this and the last file refers to the other file. What Rolling Stones single has smippets of the flip side at the end of each side. I'll give you a hint. It's on Disk two of "The London Years" boxed set, just a little past the middle.
One thing that Dreams have in common is that they are all things you “wake up from” as in the AC song “Where I am is where I want to leave”. Back in December of 1970 I recorded and sang a bunch of songs, accompanying myself on either the guitar or the piano. I called this collection “Billy Preston’s Dream” and I don’t know why I called them that. There were a number of fractured Christmas carols, with new, obscene lyrics they’d never play on the radio. There was a heavily blasphemous theme to a lot of these songs and also the word “suicide” was employed frequently in the lyrics. What is interesting is- - - well, have you ever had two conflicting voices in your head? And one of them was giving you dire warnings about something and that’s the voice you decide to ignore and after a while it just went away? But only to be proven subsequently right? Well this is how it was with me and Christianity in late 1970. Basically I thought the new movement was a bunch of crap. I didn’t even like George Harrison’s “Chant in the Ways of the Lord and you’ll be Free” and talked all through the song on an open microphone. So I had a dream about thinking I was in Hell. That could be scarey for sure. It was that moment of dis-enlightenment when it dawned on me “I’m doomed”. But it was only a dream. It wasn’t reality. John Lennon contrasted reality in his own life verses Dreams in the song “God”. Also, “Working Class Hero” is in that song selection I recorded. But I do change one lyric to “Your parents bug you till you are eighteen- - then they throw you out into that capitalist scene”. John Lennon’s lyrics are better. But then a voice of enlightenment (turning out to be Stewart Sutcliffe later on) kind of dawned on me as I got to thinking. “You know, Christianity is not without its moral problems”. For instance that Dylan song about “I wish for just one time you could stand inside my shoes”. There is an absence of empathy or “putting yourself in the other person’s place” in Christianity. “Walk a mile in my shoes” is an Indian saying; it isn’t Christian. Also there is a problem that is “lack of specificity”. Pastor Mark used to refer to it as “God meeting you where the rubber meets the road”. With most Sunday sermons the preacher expects you now to go off to
I want to “Get Back” to a conversation yesterday at the lunch or dinner table where I had to show off my knowledge. You-know-who was talking with Andrew about his new serotonin uptake medication. And Andrew says “The drug doesn’t seem to have any side effects”. Other than sudden suicide or committing mass murder, I guess not. And I chimed in “You know they say that alpha males of almost any animal species under more stress in their leadership roles than do other more passive animals, and they have more serotonin in their system”. And she said “You know I can believe that. I found leadership stressful the one time I did it”. I’d like to talk a little about the Romulans and why they may have really turned down that alliance with the Ionians a few years ago. The Ionians are one group the Federation has been scared shitless of for the past three or four thousand years or so. But I think in the end, the Romulan people just did not have a “taste for war:, It’s a case of “been there- - Done that”. Arguing against my own theory (something I’m good at) is the case of “JR” who was bumped off by the Mafia because he “wanted out” and was threatening to talk. His position would have been more secure if he still had had a little more power then he presently did. (no, not JR Eweing) Being “Hey number one- - king of the hill - - top of the heap” isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. Chuck Smith once said “One group has all the money at a certain time and then all the other groups conspire until they still the money from that group and then they have the money for a while till somebody else steals it from them”.
According to Chris Carter on Breakfast with the Beatles, “Watch Your Step” is a song that was recorded in 1961. Well, 1971 is more like it. This song you can tell by the sound engineering was obviously recorded around 1970 or 1961 and the idea of John Lennon hearing it in 1964 and doing “I Feel Fine” based on it is completely absurd. Of course Me and Mark Campbell rewrote the lyrics to “I Call Your Name” in June of 1980, the same month I wrote new lyrics to “You Can’t Do That”. They of course were celebrating John Lennon’s birthday on October 9, 1940. John Lennon played the lead guitar part for the first time on "You Can't Do that". Sometimes we run into time disconuities. I remember “Give Peace A Chance” being out in late May, but they tell me it was July. [The following three are add-backs:] ”. [There is some Romulan stuff I didn’t get to. I was going to make this joke about FH saying to Ray Maland “I can’t find Marcus’s face in this photograph of his band”. And Ray Maland comes and looks at the thing and says “There’s old Marcus right there” and circles it with his red pen and it’s an empty chair. “That’s him playing the clarinet”. This is the lyric, “Got to be so good looking because he’s so hard to see”. I remember thinking about how cool the lyrics "Come together - all together" were in GPAC and thinking "You know, the Beatles really ought to do a whole song based on these lyrics". You will remember that "Bad Boy" and "Dizzy Miss Lizzy" suddenly got saturation play on the radio in late May of 1965. This was a couple of weeks before the rest of Beatles VI was released on Friday June 4th. But later I heard that these two Beatles songs weren't even recorded till May of 1965. It's almost like that one George Carlen skit where the DJ says "I have here a song that's so hot it hasn't even been recorded yet and it's already a hit".] I remember playing an old Galaxy tape of my brother’s (Al) recorded around the first of April of 1965. But in the “official record” the Stones didn’t record the song until May. Al explained this to me once saying “Well they re-recorded it and changed the lyrics about smoking”. You know that Mal Evans banned the Beatles version of “Twist and Shout” out of loyalty to the Reigel Sixers. Mal Evans also banned the album “Flaming Pie” because I told him hearing certain songs on that album made me depressed and I didn’t know why- - after Ken’s death- - and a lot of other stuff I was depressed over”. Mal Evans said “That settles it then, I’m banning the whole album”. And he did. Actually Mal did not contact me again for years- - like maybe fall of 2004.
Bill Gunderson was just over here for a half hour visit and he had twelve pumpkin muffins piping hot from the over to share equally between me and my roommate. I’ll have a full report on the rest of the visit but right now I want to talk about a question he asked. He said “What has homosexuality contributed to society- - not homosex-uals, but homosex-uality, in the abstract?” I said I didn’t know. Then he said “If you were to ask the same thing of science you could come up with a whole host of stuff” and he rattled off a bunch of things. Then he asked “What have people like Stalin and Hitler and Jim Jones contributed to society. And when these people talk about Change, is it Change we can believe in?” I said “I pretty much know where you are headed with that one”. But I would like to pose one more question. What has Religion contributed to society? Not religious PEOPLE but religion in the abstract? Religion in terms of “Theology”?
I would now like to conclude with that “Dallas Theological Seminary” alias the Orion Federation- - list of interrogatives to Rick Perry. For instance Job said in the Bible, “I know my redeemer lives”. It’s in “The Messiah”. Was Job referring to Jesus? When it says that God created the heavens and the earth and goes on to say that the earth was “void and waste, and the spirit of God brooded over the face of the waters”. My explanation is that it’s a translation error but let’s let Walter Martin have his way on this one. Gene Scott, Chuck Smith, and I have our own “gap theory” but let’s take the scripture as it occurs “Rat there in the Babble”. Does life exist on a planet that is “void and waste”? So do these bodies of water breed green slime with first individual cells in it and then multi cellular creatures and then higher forms of life like jellyfish, clams, and squid? Is that how God worked? There is a scripture that says “Who is this man with blood dripping robes coming forth from Bossra? Is this referring to Jesus? How about the passage where it says “In those days a man will be ashamed of his visions and say to you “I am no prophet; I am a farmer”. Is this Jesus? How about the passage where it says that one would be born in
Last night I didn’t have idea number one for a blog. I figured maybe I’d hang loose for a couple of days and maybe I’d have some idea for a posting along about Tuesday evening. Bill paid me a dollar just after dinner for two cups of coffee. I gave him the first right after dinner when I made coffee and the other when I decided to brew another pot a little before eight.
As you know I’ve had a lot of unsetteling dreams lately. I was calling out “Help - - Help!” about three or four times at the end of the nightmare the other night. I hope no one heard me. Of course “Help” is the 56th song released by the Beatles on an EMI album so there is that number again. Anyhow last night I dreamed I have suffered some indignity that really upset me and I was enraged about it. And we were having some major family dinner at parent’s house (where I grew up) and I interrupted the conversation by bringing it up and going on and on about it in a regular rant and everyone else was embarrassed. [Blank] and [Blank] and [Blank] were there; I knew that. But there were a lot of others who I knew in this dream, but not not in reality. (The last time you saw them together as a family had to be about 1995 or something) Anyhow it became sort of a snow ball. And then even when I wanted to back track I couldn’t. And they were going to have me declared mentally ill and were going to ship me off somewhere real soon. But I went to bed that night (oddly with my bed facing the opposite direction from normal) and I would wake and there would be all this electronic stuff on the floor, and all the grounds seemed strewn with new electronic merchandise and there were some wrappings and there were light bulb signs that lit up- - and I’d wander around the house and find that I was still going to be committed. And then I really began going insane and hillucenated a lot of stuff and was incoherent to all I walked to. And I felt increasingly alone and isolated. And time would pass - - days – and sometimes in the night I would wake and pray I’d woken from a dream, but it would turn out that I hadn’t. And I remembered back to some date on a calendar a while back, when I remembered on a certain date I would “be judged”. And now the days kept going by- - . And I wandered around. And I was at some small carnival or something with these booth games just wandering around aimlessly. I think by now I was invisible and couldn’t talk to anybody. And there was music playing from some song I’d heard on the radio lately but couldn’t place. And I thought about stuff and tried to decipher what it all meant and would things ever change. And then I said almost under my breath “Good Lord, I’m in Hell”. And a moment or two I was out of the dream. But as I lay in bed I was sensing some “force” trying to pull me back into the dream. And I mused to myself “Perhaps it wouldn’t be a good idea to do that anti Christian skit. After all I don’t want to tempt fate even if I don’t believe in it myself”. It’s an interesting proposition to ponder that this physical life we all live in is only someone else’ dream. Besides that “other life” in San Barnerdino, there is another life I’ve flashed on. This one involves some guy who graduated HS in 1967 and went on to be an Oceanographer at the
In the morning I didn’t wake up till 6:33 and I didn’t even make coffee before breakfast, but I did afterwards. I turned on the Jesus Christ show thinking “I guess I owe God that”. Our Holy Host was talking with a caller about creation and evolution. And the caller voiced a sentiment I always assumed as fact when I was younger. He said “But haven’t certain things always existed and are in no need of a creator”? Neil says, “You’ve just described God”. So as I understand Neil that means that anything that always existed and in no need of a creator is God. The caller continued on this "always existed" vein, "you know- like a block of wood". They may not have been the best example to use. A clock of wood is not a "sensient being" and we are. And Neil adds, “There is no phenomenon or substance in science that wasn’t created by something. (Even scientific laws, apparently) Then the caller and Neil agreed that man has indeed “created life’ in that a virus has been produced in the laboratory. But Neil said “Even this organism had to be created by intelligent life”, in this case, Man. But in this case isn’t Neil diminishing God’s “uniqueness”. And then the caller fell into a common but insidius verbal trap. He went on and asked the fatal question, “But why would such an intelligent force even create man?” Of course some say that "Well, but God wouldn't create a sensient, feeling being unless he were a sensient feeling being". Here you fall into a logical trap. But before you get led down that proverbial garden path dig this: The "answer" is that just as we humans write about beings with super powers, it doesn't mean the writers have super powers. That's the best short explanation. Never ask a Christian "Why". He isn't worth it. That’s opening a Door you don’t want opened. The answer is contained in a Zombie’s song (apt term) called “You Don’t Need Any Reason”. God doesn’t need any reason to create us, and if he were to have one it mightn’t be one we would go along with. You don’t even know why that guy as work is such a jerk and a bozo. What about someone from another part of the country. Harder still it would be to figure out them. How about a space alien being? Picking the motivation there would be harder still. But how about some Being that it not even FROM this universe? Trying to figure the motives here would be way futile. Neil then went on to proclaim, “There are at least a couple of followers of “Mine” working here at KFI, Wayne Resnic and Leo Le Port.
Let’s skip up later to after breakfast when I got a visit from Stewart. He said that there are a lot of Universes that were created but that each and every one of them has basic scientific laws in common because they have a common creator. And he reminded me (and you) that all those billions of Universes eminate from only two dimensions of Time. Just think what you could produce if you had ten. You might stretch it to three dimensions of Time, but in doing so it would imply some quqlitative distinction between different types of lateral variance, and Stewart’s theory doesn’t allow for that. All of this forward, backward and “sideways” time emanates from just two Time dimensions. Stewart went on to say that perhaps some of the claims against Obama that the right has made are not wholly without foundation and that perhaps President Obama does have some sort of “secret agenda” that would prove bad for Americans. Stewart when asked to say he would vote for- Perry or Obama, he said “That’s not a choice I want to make”. He said however that if Joe Byden were head of the ticket he would vote Democratic then at the bat of an eye. Stewart said that Obama was a Sutteran, as are by the way people such as Bill Clinton and also “Bill and Emily Harris” (code names for my parents). He also warned against my talking to Janet saying she was a Sutteran and “Do not make revealing comments to her and neither believe one word that comes out of her mouth”. It dawned on me that rather than Stewart becoming a disciple of Neil’s that perhaps Neil ought to become a disciple of Stewart’s. Stewart then went on to make the remark, upon hearing the birthday thing on KLOS that “You I don’t think Sean has the first idea of what his father John is really like”. I would disagree with that statement only to make it “Was like” rather than “Is”. The word “Is” implies that John and Sean are not NOW spiritually “connected” from either end of the relationship. I guess a lot of Stewart’s warnings to me could be summed up in the morphed song lyrics of “I know George Bush hurt you bad, but hell, that was way back when. Do you still have to carry that Barock Obama sticker on your car- - ? RIP IT OFF. Stewart also stated that the Sutterans are hated by virtually everybody including Alcyonne, the Romulans, and the Federation. They are born liars, deceivers, and manipulators. They also have their “antitype” on that Star Trek episode from 1992. So I heard the term “Sutteran” used there before I heard Mal Evans use the term”. There is an almost mirror relationship between Barock Obama’s fortunes and my own fortunes. When he’s up; I’m down and when I’m up; he’s down. And if I want to insure that I’m up, it’s to not “Fight his battles” for him but to let the dumb cluck bail himself out of his own problems. I think if you just “Drop” something you’ll find that your burden is lighter- - if you don’t have to think “Well, how will the President’s apologists put a pleasant face on this or that political blunder?”. Good point.
Jerry Brown signed “the Dream Act” yesterday. It should rather be called the Nightmare Act because now illegal aliens will have precedence over our own kids for getting into
We want to pay tribute to Al Davis who died at his home at age 82. As we said on the last file, Al Davis WAS the Raiders. We in football owe him a lot.
This morning Thom Hartman was barely on and they switched to coverage of the Kings – Rangers ice hockey game. The Kings won 3 to 2 I believe. So it was Rush Limbaugh time. Nearly two hours of Rush Limbaugh is more torture than any man should have to take. It was like listening to the raving ramblings of a mental patient, like you know who in the “Cane Mutiny” movie at the court martial trial, twirling his ball bearings. Maybe he should put them back in his brain. Just to refresh your recollection he would string together all these free-form sentences or “ejaculations” if you will with absolutely no connection to each other and each one is based on the vaguest of imuendo to begin with. Rush was going on and on about “Citizen Kane” and how since he’s Black he’s a traitor to his race if he tries to better himself and instead of being in school and getting his business degree, and becoming one of the one percenters, he should have been out protesting. Because we all know the government wants to keep all Black people enslaved on Welfare and Social Security- - which are socialist experiments. He said that none of the people at the Wall Street protests “have never contributed a thing to American society or created any jobs” and they’re all leeches and paracites and idiots who don’t know why they are even there but they are being manipulated by some master-mind socialists in the Obama administration. And President Obama takes his marching orders from Sol Allinsky. I guess I’d like to know is what Rush Limbaugh has ever “built, or invented”. On the first caller of the day Rush took off on a mad rant. The caller had said “What if it turned out Justice Ginsburg had taken money from Move-on, the same way Clarence Thomas’ wife is in bed with the Heritage Foundation and all these other extremist groups?” Well Rush Limbaugh tagged him as a “seminar caller” and says that Justice Thomas doesn’t have a biased bone in his body and there are no grounds for impeachment. Then he took off on the governor of
Meanwhile on the commercial break we had the Holy Host of Sunday’s show talking about going through “different seasons” in life, and how you shouldn’t try to rush through them. The trouble is in Jesus land, to quote a famous person, “It’s winter there all the time, but it’s never Christmas”. You know, Christians are like people who listen to “
OK this is John Kerry reporting for duty, Sir. The question is – has Dr. Levy completely checked out? Why wasn’t he here on Monday? Sara said over the PA that Dr. Levy would be here on Saturday. But Saturday is Yom Kippur according to Thom Hartman or something and what Jew is going to work on Yom Kippur? Again September in the three times we did meet were travelogue episodes. We talked about
We do want to pay our regards to Steve Jobs. I was thinking of calling a posting "Brrr!" it was sure cold yesterday. It was only twenty degrees or so below normal. And mention the recurring nature of the number 56 three times in our recent writings. But then "Brrr!" also adds up alphabetically to a 56 so maybe the weather was sending us a message yesterday. Since he’s died I’ve gotten about as many messages from him as I have from Jimmy Hoffa, which is zero, zip, nada. But I would like to think that before he died perhaps I was channeling just a little of his enlightened brilliance in my writings. I thought of another question. There is one person in the mafia who met an untimely death whom the Federation says “We have gotten much “deep background” information about the mafia from him”. Name me that lone individual the Federation was referring to. We’re going to do just one of the original three trivia questions I had planned. This one is easy. You can about look it up in Firefox. Kurt Cobain became a Romulan after he died. Who spent a number of months mentoring him and showing him around and also giving me a build up so that when I actually met him I was immediately put as ease? I’ll give you that answer but first here is one more question. Name me two more groups that are Bela Tagis IV rock groups. OK, that’s too hard. I’ll tell you. The Animals and the Rolling Stones are two good answers there. And the answer to our mystery question is John Lennon. Both John Lennon and Kurt Cobain have the original DNA of their avatars. They look identical to how they looked in life. I know, the whole "Avatar" thing seems a little whackazoid to most people.
I'm going to vastly shorten up and change this paragraph from that I previously elaborately planned out. You don't have the time. I'll just say that if our own Federation scenario were playing out accurately right now we would already be in a war with Iran. And after the war there would be a period of extended polution and civil liberties crisis in this country through the late thirties. At that time there would indeed be one of those "Revolutions" that Thom Hartman dreams about. In the early 2040's there would be a true - "Spiritual" revival in America and a lot of people would finally see the Truth about a lot of things. And there would be a Luke Skywalker hero character who in 2061 would be one of the first Starship captains of a ship with "warp capabilities' traveling faster than the speed of light. The whole "61" thing is kind of - - OK it's the year Ernest Hemmingway committed suicide and it's Hemingway. Sounds strange, doesn't it. But what I was going to talk about at length was the Federation contacting me - - after an extended hiatus, and it was to announce the pregnency and then birth of this wonder child in 2005. My response to Mal was,"Fool me once, shame on You; fool me twice, shame on Me".
