Rush to Excellence

Greetings to our blog readers. Today we have a slightly different format for you. I hope like our previous eight blogs you will find this one interesting and stimulating. I see my purpose as to further enlightenment of the internet reading public

Rush says that the whole scientific “model” for global warming is falling apart and that polar ice is not melting. I don’t know who to believe. Of course they have said that between 1850 and 1950 the temperature of the earth rose about a degree and a half but since then it has been flat and thirty years ago people were talking about a coming ice age. It was pointed out that we may between “ice ages” now in our cycle. Of course last fall the temperature of the Gulf of Mexico at ninety or higher was seven or eight degrees above normal, so we can infer at that time the temperature of the earth was seven or eight degrees above normal. People are expecting a hurricane season not quite as bad as the last one. Rush added his criticism to Al Gore’s new film on global warming. But ex President Bill Clinton is now supporting the Gore movie.

Apparently attendance at the Da Vinci code movie has shattered all records on a world wide basis. So much for what the “critics” think. Gross of the movie was 79 million or something and enough to make it number one at the box office for this past weekend. It would seem the film may be more popular in Europe than here. At any rate it would seem that the Da Vinci Code is a force to be reckoned with.

People may wonder if Christianity were ever a murderous religion. Well, in the first place a lot of people were burned at the stake for hericy. As Jesus puts it, ‘If you dial up a phone number and it isn’t the exact right number the call won’t go through, and this is how it is with religion”. A co-equal three person trinity is an intrigal part of “having the right number” and all Mormons and Jehovah’s witnesses are consigned to Hell in the next life. In the Bible Ananias and Saphirah were struck dead for lying to Peter for not turning over all their property to the church. Their rule used to be, “From each according to his ability; to each according to his need”. I think the Catholic Church got off of that philosophy a little over the years. Chuck Smith has often told stories about people who came against him or the church being struck dead mysteriously. I think Christians love to implant fear in people of being struck dead should they cross “God” in any way. Personally I’m not a bit afraid of that. I will continue to blog away.

Assuming I put more songs listing on the next blog I want to state they will be “second tier” songs and of an inferior quality to the ones already out on blogs. It’s just that these are the songs I grew up with and more important to me personally. I plan to make a number of song substitutions, two or three or four per CD’s worth, just for logistical reasons. I hope they don’t suspect me of Spam like they did last week. OK "Vol. Five" listed has three substitutions from the original. "Deep Cover" has two substitutions, and "Lleps Eth Esrever' started off at 23 songs and we upgraded to 25 and five songs were dropped and seven songs were added.
