The Inexerable Forward March of Liberalism

Chris Matthews pointed out on his show I watched this morning that over the long haul, Liberalism has won every battle.  It prevailed in the case of the abolition of slavery, and giving women the vote, and in granting Blacks civil rights in the sixties, and it is now prevailing in granting gay people and couples rights they never had before.  No wonder the tea party is nervous.  Of course it’s clear these people don’t read books anyhow.  I was just reviewing some of mine.  In an Eric Fromme book there was talk about how the people love to be led like sheep and don’t like things overly complicated.   In Kingdom of the Cults- - I read the thing on “Theosophy” where they teach that there “are certain philosophical truths all the great religions believe about God”.  Walter Martin counters that the Bible, and by the way the Koran are very narrow and dogmatic about their being one Almighty personal God who as it were barks orders to mankind to be followed to the letter.  This of course means that everything in both the Torah and Koran would have to be in total agreement.  Walter Martin has highly “anally fixated thinking” in that he attributes to Cults by way of demonizing them, thoughts in impulses which he was probably the most guilty of.  I was looking at my big book on Chinese philosophy quoting this or that philosopher- - - about which it’s necessary to give a little thought and meditation and not come up with an instant analysis.   I was looking at this New York Times encyclipediac Alminac- - which goes into considerable detail about so many endeavors of learning, which to master would take great discipline.   Of course a lot of these books need a good dusting off.   If President Obama has allowed his “higher education” to cause him to be optimistic about “the ability of liberalism to prevail” then this would be understandable.  Because clearly when you look at the history of the United States we have a record of continually granting various segments of people their rights- - and not a record of taking them away.  And yet many on the right will dismiss out of hand anyone with a liberal arts education- - even if they themselves are college educated, because of some – and I have to say evil and repressive – drive within them that overrides their logic and common sense.   Someone on the Hannity show yesterday claimed that all progressives were just knee-jerk simple-minded leftists, who were incapable of learning new facts, when the facts ARE clearly - - as I have oft stated- - it’s the liberals that use facts and statistics as their weapon.   Some lady on the Hannity show took exception to Paul Ryan’s allusion last week to “A culture of laziness in the ghetto where generation upon generation of young men have no concept of what it is to get up and go to a job every day”.  The lady countered, rightly, that if there is a job opening- - a line of people will form and people will catch busses at six thirty in the morning and ride across town to go to a job interview.   It used to be that the American People at large- - maybe fifty years ago - - were “educated” enough to reject simple minded platitudes put out by such groups like the John Birch Society.   But people like Walter Martin have no reasoning capacity at all.  For instance- - in response to Jehovah’s Witnesses, who know Greek and the phrase for instance “Do you have water” is not referring to the totality of ALL water- - but merely “some” water - - which is to say - - some lesser example of the generic whole.   And according to Walter Martin- - if the Bible EVER makes reference to any “first” or “last” It has to mean the SAME “first” and “last” as referred to as some verse in Isaiah, and Walter Martin states dogmatically “There CANNOT be TWO “firsts” and “lasts”.  This of course is nonsense, and a case of highly “anally fixated” thought processes.   People today are so simple minded they are led about by the snout to the “intellectual killing fields” where they meet their demise.

Chris Matthews discussed the basics today about how liberals just have to be strident in their basic message and not to qualify it.  Because this lady running for congress in Florida tried to be a “nice guy” about it saying Obamacare needed “fixing’ and she was good at working across the aisle.  All the other guy had to do in this conservative state is to say “My opponent is a fan of Obama Care” and subscribe to the most right wing views possible on every issue - - and he won the election by two percentage points.  However the voter turn-out in this election because it was an off-election of an off-year, and a rematch would seem the likely thing to happen.   I watched the first long segment of Thursday’s episode, and I think I caught all of Friday’s but one time the program took of out of the flow - - and I had to look to see where I was.  After this it was another of these Purity triple play soft jell tablets.  It was green tea, and turmeric root, which is called kurkunen, and then resveritrol from red wine.  Added to these three were grape seed “extract” and “pine bark” and Vitamin C.   Tumeric root is a prime component of curry powder- - which sounds like an exotic product, but apparently it’s good for you.   At dinner tonight I received my "The Week" magazine.  There was an article in there about religious oppression, taking on a strange food twist this time.  Because the college (?) has ordered its meat from a kosher deliveror or something to placate the Moslem students so that they can feel free to consume the meat.  But some wise acres are actually Complaining about the improved meat quality, if it comes to letting some alien religion "get their cooties on the food we eat".  It's childish beyond belief.

Then it was Melinda Lee.  And she says that the dish of corned beef and cabbage is kind of a bogus Irish dish - - invented by American immigrants because beef was hard to come by in Ireland.  Of course corned beef and cabbage was never a Romulan dish on St Patrick’s day.  Apparently they got the preparation of the dish from the Jews.  Then there was talk about all of the recipes you can use caraway seeds in.   And there was talk about “controlled decomposition” of beef in aging it, which sounds yukky.   We are doing this in “early sunset”.  If you're curious- - the Romulans use different callendars.  They still have an affinity with earth and earth time reckoning.   They use the Gregorian Calendar for determining St Patrick's day, which they celebrate the same day we do.   There is a group of Romulans- - on Sirius 0 with Sirius 0 avatars- - - who have adopted some Crestorian teachings, that use the Julian calendar, or the "reform" of the calendar set up by Julius Caesar.  But the pre Julian calendar I learn today - - also figures in such things as some celebrate "Luprical" as New Years- - - which comes in lunar months just like the Jews and the Chinese- - and it's about two-thirds of a month later.  It also is about a "moon" and maybe five days earlier than the Jewish calendar, meaning that once in a while- - the "extra month" insertion will NOT occur in a Romulan calandar when it DOES occur in the Jewish one.  These dates in the past sixty years are no mystery.  They are 1967, 1978, 1989, and not again till 2008, and that final year I am less than one hundred percent certain of, but I'm pretty sure.

Did you know that Google and Yahoo both have to keep government inquiries into customer's private accounts of theirs- - Secret.  They can't tell You.  And they can't even talk about it among themselves, or to put it out in any literature or press releases.  To me this is the unmistakable Halmark of a totalitarian government.   On another matter, screw the Sunday elections in Crimea.  They are completely bogus and illegal, and everyone in the world including the Russians and Putin, knows this.   Now at seven o clock, the Mc Laughlin group just got done with their totalitarian Love Fest.  According to them Dianne Feinstein will back off and say "It was all a mistake and I am now completely satisfied with the illegal activities of the CIA".  Meanwhile Pat Buchannon still talks of the "thugs" or "mob rule" that installed a Ukrainian who represented the People of Ukraine once more as President.  How strange it is that the CIA used to routinely overthrow governments we didn't like around the world.  We prevented Viet Nam from freely election Ho Chi Min as the nation's leader of a united Viet Nam.  And yet now with an questionable act of the people, a President who proved more than a little bogus in his policies - - was thrown out, and a more Western government is now installed WITHOUT outside intervention, and Pat balks and cries these tears of sympathy for Putin, as he's been doing now for years, and the question is why?   When did naked military aggression no longer signal "appeasement" which conservatives have railed against in Convention speeches for decades.

My original planned paragraph for this spot was much longer and about my experiances with Power Point, but I had formatting problems with that, and had to do some major deleting.   But let's take up the conversation with what death traps hospitals have come in the United states.  I had Mike Papentonio and the “Ring of Fire” but had to look for it since they’d taken it off “full episodes”.   They said there were 54 podcasts but I just picked the luck of the draw, which happened to be last weekend’s.  It was on hospitals and now doctor malpractice is responsible for 144,000 deaths nation wide, which is higher than they claim. Actually I think he might have used a much higher figure 440,000 but that would be too fantastic.  It's hidious beyond belief either way.  Apparently you have a rather good chance of actually dying in a hospital for almost anything you’re brought in for, just like Dad did.  Mike Papentonio was also the host fill in for Ed Schultz.  I went out for morning coffee break in the courtyard and got two cups, and did the same thing in the afternoon.  My pink eye has bothered me some and I have washed my eye out twice today.
