This is Wednesday Octmber 10th with less than a month to go before we find out whether Mitt Romney will have that esteemed honor he wants of being the first Mormon president, and also the dubious distinction of being the absolute worst, most despised President of the past eighty years. Mitt Romney has shot up in polls as of yesterday being four points ahead of the President in one poll, and up one point in another. Apparently he had wiped out overnight the gender gap, with now women preferring Mitt Romney in almost as great as numbers as do men. Obama has this besetting fault of being an "academic schollar" but it takes a "good performance" and not true intellectual debating skill to win over today's pathetically educated crop of Americans. Logic and credibility mean nothing to today's audience. You can lie a blue streak to them, just as long as you do it with decisive forcefulness and looking them squarely in the eye. I am hoping to catch today's speech by Bill Clinton on You Tube or someplace. I am planning to get a new template for this blog perhaps before the day is out. We now pick up yesterday's narritive a little before three o clock this morning.
I went out and talked
to James some more and had a cigarette, because I knew I wouldn’t be able to
get to sleep without one. I told him I
had just had diaria and my lower GI tract was still restless. But then I went back to bed and got to sleep
and I woke while it was still pitch dark, but it was already 6:07 so I got up. I had the Stephanie
Miller program on and made the final pot of coffee. We had Raison Bran for breakfast and
scrambled eggs and French toast. I was
still hungry with just one piece. What
else is new. Denise ran out of coffee
before getting to me, that’s what. Anyhow
I relaxed and listened to Stephanie the next hour and Denise brought the
laundry basket back. I put the clothes
away just before lunch. I had “Live and
Local” on. Nora arrived and changed the
linens just before ten. Bill gave me a
cigarette lighter that was low on fluid, for free, saving me needed funds. I went down for morning coffee from Dora but
got one cup and she left while I was sitting two chairs down from Nancy,
enjoying the yellow cake she also had. I
was just musing on how life was better for me just one year ago. Later out on the patio I was thinking that
Dr. Levy talking about goals five years out is misguided. I have shorter term goals, like not being
served bologna sandwiches two days in a row when the first day it said “ham”
and today the menu said “turkey”. I
returned to the room around ten thirty.
Arts and crafts was in progress.
I haven’t changed the calendar from September yet but this month has
sucked so bad it’s no loss. I am far
less “adventurous’ in my blogs now from a year ago or even six months ago. I had more reason to be worried then because
you had all these political flavors of the month then. First it was Michelle Bachman, then Gov Rick
Perry and the “Texas Miracle”. (That’s
his back-up band) Then it was Herman
Cane and late in the year 2011 it was Newt Gingrich, as Paul had foretold a
whole month in advance. In late spring of 2011 I was doing that pure
math geometry stuff and the thing then was how many lines it takes to surround
all possible planes from any given dimension, and I worked out a formula- - and
carried it out to four dimensions. Then
I had that “tetra-hedenization” of numbers- - thanks to that Excel chart, with
a possibility of going higher in dimensions.
Today my postings are very unadventurous compared to then, like I am
phoning them in. I wish I had more
readership. I really do believe people
should read my older stuff because at this point in time - - the older stuff is
both more inspired and creative, as well as expanding your mind. But “expanding your mind” seems to be on no
ones priority list. Mal Evans finally
put in an appearance at lunch time. I
played a recording for me, which is like some mash-up combo of “Dust in the
Wind”, “Stairway to Heaven”, and “Aqualung”.
You haven’t heard a piece on the radio like that have you? Mal Evans also explained the reason why he
didn’t want me writing or posting anything against Obama - - and it has to do
with this martyr complex thing. Obama
will be more of a martyr is all of his supporters stay with him and give him
every change to win. That way if he does
lose we can’t be accused of “not doing all we could to help him” and the burden
will fall squarely on the Forces of Hate out there, and their Judgement
therefore will be all the greater. I
guess I don’t look at things that way.
We had tomato soup for
lunch and cold cut sandwich and coleslaw.
I got an additional half sandwich.
We had a banana for desert, and we did get coffee. There was a bit more “live and local” and
then it was Randy Rhodes. But I knew I
getter get out to the back bench. The
place was packed out. I signed in at
number fourteen with only twelve official lines. The van holds seven passengers but Sarah
lately has been limiting it to six since people like Glen are hold-overs from
one load to the next. Oddly enough, Glen
wasn’t among this crowd of some fifteen or so people. Sarah took six on the first load including
Pete Spegler. But after she had left I
looked around and there were still some eight people besides me. I know Sarah has taken me other times when I
didn’t think I deserved to be on a certain load. And Sarah had lost the list but I wasn’t
going to take advantage of that by manipulation or wheedeling. Let those other eight argue among
themselves. Besides I really didn’t “feel
like more coffee” at that point. I went
back and caught more of Randy Rhodes who was chronicling Romney’s many
flip-flops. At two o clock she had that “liars
club” thing. There is a speech Bill
Clinton apparently gave today where he does his “take” on the Wednesday
Debate. It’s too bad our side can’t have
Clinton as front man ALL of the time! I
won’t be posting today.
Jennifer is having a
mental break down on Days of our Lives.
That’s starting to become apparent to all now. But now Dr Daniel is having second thoughts
about taking off with Nicole to Utah.
Daniel Jonas is a major flip-flopper.
Nicole is in too delicate position right now, however, to be ying-yanged
around. Also Caroline Brady is having to
lot of “senior moments” these days, such to the extent that Bo told Hope he
doesn’t think travel around the world in a yacht would be advisable just
now. Abigail is being frozen out by
Nick, by Gabriel, and by Chad. I guess
she should take a hint that it’s a private matter- - no matter how “strange” it
looks and not pursue it but leave it alone.
I heard floor mopping in the hall so stayed here and watched Dr. Oz, who
had Rick Springfield, a one hit wonder, whom they now say hat seventeen top
forty hits on the charts. He didn’t date
girls in high school but tried to hang himself at age seventeen, but the knot
came undone about the same time he was passing out. Later- presumably after fame, he became both
a sex addict, and also seemed to be apathetic about all his wealth and fame
like “It wasn’t the thing I really wanted after all”. Maybe.
Then I had Randy on only a couple minutes. After this I went down to the courtyard for
afternoon coffee and the four birds were in the cage. I got two cups of coffee from Dora but
nothing to eat. They are replacing a few
isolated floor tiles in the hall up here.
I get the impression it’s just spot replacement and they have no
intension of yanking out the whole thing.
Let’s hope not. I guess we’re
caught up and David Cruise is on now. It’s
generally been a quiet news day.
