Last Thoughts On 2013

It’s not necessary to highlight what a disgusting and retrograde the year 2013 was for race relations to go beyond two of the biggest people to be honored by their fans this year.  These would be Phil Robertson and George Zimmerman.  One remark that has become increasingly irritating about this year is the one used on the right by people like Sean Hanity is “People are trying to politicize racial issues like with the Trayvon Martin trial”.  It shows a basic lack of any sort of conscience- - because to be “political” one is presumed to be saying said remark because he is running for office.  Well, this author is not running for any Office and I reserve the right as do all Americans (running for office or not) to make moral evaluations of people’s racial attitudes.   Nobody but a fellow whacko would “sign off” on the idea that this trial in Sanford Florida was NOT about race or bigotry.  Sean claims that “Nobody knows the facts or the law in Florida”.   There used to be a saying in the 1992 Presidential campaign “It’s the Economy, stupid” and now I say “It’s the Forensics, stupid”.   NOBODY, especially the prosecutor, wanted to talk about “the facts” or wave shape vocal analysis- - or the fact that blood doesn’t fall up hill or that you can’t shoot someone over you and not get one drop of blood on you, or smash your skull on the sidewalk, and yet not one drop of your blood on the sidewalk.  As to the law, in order to envoke “the Law” there was to be a hearing on “Stand your ground” but Zimmerman didn’t want to have that hearing because he didn’t want to testify, and he’d have to, and he knew he’d be caught in a lie if he did.  The defense was forbidden to raise the “Stand your Ground” issue but they raised it anyhow.  The Prosecution has the right to a final Rebuttal.  They did not use that right.  The defense was barred from showing that “simulation” as evidence in the trial, but it was OK if they used it in their closing arguments, where it would have MORE and not less sway.  The defense said “We don’t want vocal experts because we don’t want the jury to be biased by any second hand testimony” and yet this same defense had a string of five or six defense witness saying “OH yeah, that’s Georgie’s voice, I’d know it anywhere’ and one “expert” said he “knew it was his voice’ from moans of the dying soldiers from his time serving in the Viet Nam war.   Would Sean Hannity claim all this is just “political posturing” and therefore should not bring it up?   But the most blatant example of Media race bigotry is that thing of Laura Ingrim playing a speech John Lewis made at the fiftieth anniversary of King’s march on Washington in August 1963.   She played Lewis speaking and then the peal of a gun shot rings out - - and we’re all supposed to think that is so funny!  We have driving while Black, like the guy backing out of his driveway then goes back for his briefcase and when he comes back out he’s surrounded by cops- - pointing their guns at him.  The victim of this intimidation knew that it was a case of “Cops acting stupidly” but of course were he to claim this it would be “political posturing”.  And he feared for his life and when looking down the barrel of guns, figured perhaps this wouldn’t be a good time to ask for the officers badge numbers.  Then we have “sitting at a bus stop while Black” and when the coach of these HS basketball players comes along to vouch for them, the local police threaten to arrest him, too.  You know, most decades don’t show their “character” till about the “2” of the decade.  This was true for the forties, fifties, sixties, seventies, eighties, and nineties.  I could give examples of each, but for want of time and your patience, I won’t.  But this decade showed its “character” starting the moment President Obama was sworn in back in 2009.   The one thing all of this anti Obama rhetoric has as its driving force if the idea that none of them can accept the fact of “That Nigger in the White House”.  There is just no polite way of saying it.   Sarah Palin was the original tea bagger.  The tea party, contrary to another spun myth, was NOT a “reaction to the signing of the Affordable Care Act.   It was in full force eleven months before that bill was signed.  They have done surveys that show that White people make judgements on cases involving Race - - BEFORE any of the facts have become known.  Sarah Palin defended Phil Robertson’s remarks very avidly and forcefully- - but admitted “I don’t even know what he said”.   Romney weighed in on Bengazi before any of the facts were even known.  Now that the New York Times has come out with a long article on Bengazi- - people on the right have taken to attacking it.

Jesus Christ wasn’t all that whitty.  For instance I would suggest “Do not say to do unto others what you would want done unto you - - but rather DON”T do unto others what you would NOT want done unto you”.  Because some queer out there might want to over me his exposed buttox and I’d have to politely decline his offer.   Jesus said if you’re working for someone and you think you can get a better offer- - be a flake and start cheating your boss and catering to his enemies- - and that way the enemies will be so impressed with you they’ll end up paying more than your old boss.  This parable to me has always seemed a little morally “tone deaf”.  Jesus said “Do not test the Lord thy God” but I’m not sure I’ve ever found that verse in the Old Testament.  So then I offer you a parable to illustrate my point.  If it’s true that one should not even ALLOW himself to be tempted with sin by “giving place to the Devil” was not Jesus himself “tempting his disciples to sin” by telling them to carry two swords, and then repermanding them for using them?  Or consider this example.  One guy with an alcohol problem came to this guy’s house with liquor bottles on the wall full of booze.  The guy said “I’ll give you a choice.  You can have a shot glass of gin right now and go on your way.  Or help me operate this old loom while I weave some faboric for an hour- - and I’ll let you have an eight ounce bottle of gin.” The question is “Which choice of action would he be Testing his host?  My disciples would say “Why, the second option because- -the Host put himself under an oath to offer the wayfarer a whole bottle of gin, and now is pressured to make good on his promise.  Therefore I would say unto you - - “So then- - it would seem to having Faith in God’s word, we are implicitly Testing him”  (Selah)   I received a letter from a Pastor in which he made no distinction between “God telling me to do something” but is said thing never comes to pass- - then it wasn’t God’s will that it take place.  Many things come to mind with this saying.  If it’s true that every thing that happens is God’s will and ONLY things that happen are God’s will- - I might presume- - - that if Kate and Samantha get away with murder- - than it must have been God’s will that this murder to Take Place to Begin with.   Can I get a “Selah” to that one?

Johnny Wendell was on at nine, and the station had just one more day of operation in its current format.  Johnny scored points with me by attacking Billy Joel for “having no soul”.  This is exactly my complaint against him.  He’s a plastic banana churn out the “commercial product” because he knows how to “produce’ something that sells.  Maybe that requires a certain kind of talent, but he lacks the true spirit and soul of a real rock artist, which is why back in August of 1990 I gave him the designation of “The Anti Elvis”.  Randy Rhodes won’t be back till Monday anyhow.  That means she’s had a three week vacation- - in addition to the half dozen mini vacations she’s had throughout the year already.  Stephen Stills told Stephanie he’s always supported the troops and wasn’t like all these people that disparaged vets from returning from Viet Nam.  I went out for coffee in the courtyard in the morning, but not in the afternoon.  We had tuna sandwiches for lunch, and coleslaw, and mixed melon.  The second bowl of beef soup was mostly pasta, and the first bowl was mostly beef broth.  I guess the two balance out.  In terms of Nick Fallon, he never mowed anybody down with an M 16 but that doesn’t stop the writers of the Soap Opera from envoking the death penalty on him.  That’s just what they are doing.  It’s the old gag of everybody is in on the secret working off the theory that “If everybody commits the sin, they can’/t prosecute them all”.  If I were the DA I’d just say “Oh yeah? – just watch me”.  Maybe I’d get Anne Milbower to assist me.  We all know what “he got the death penalty for” don’t we?  It’s for threatening to turn in Will Horton for shooting Elvis way back then.  He was in favor of doing it before he was against it.  But of course in order to threaten someone it has to be a threat- and in the city of Salem they just don’t care.  The crime of murder now is considered no big thing.  Elvis is going to hire some of Stephano’s goons to help eliminate any shred of evidence there was ever a murder there.  And Kate learned where to dump the body from Stephano talking about his crime activities.  At first Will took the baby and fled, but now Sonny is trying to “talk him into the idea of sharing a secret, for which each and every one of them could be prosecuted for a felony charge.  It’s like you’re watching the Sopranos.

We had pumpkin pie for desert.  I went to the bakery for a large coffee just now at fading twilight.  I posted tonight in the next blog.  We are running on just under a three month cycle through rate.  We are now in “Skeletons from the Closet”.  San Diego won over Kansas City in San Diego in overtime with waning minutes to go.  SD was ahead 27 to 24 and Kansas City got another chance but failed to score an “answering’ field goal.  So Pittsburgh is now given “Das Boot”.  They are out of the play-offs and the San Diego Chargers are in.

The latest belief on the "Aether Theory" is that said Aether is different for each of us.  There are any number of other "light-space event horizons" passing through this identical space we are in now, but all of them are passing at a rate where their "gravity" hence "materiality" cannot register in OUR space.  However their own Gravity, though it can't be ever "grasped" in our space- - has NO Trouble at All, keeping up with Them in their Own Space- - even though that Same Gravity- - even if it Could be perceived in Our space, and it can't, but if it could- - it would "appear" to be in a vastly different "space distribution" than it does in the other's OWN space.  Each person's "gravity" is best suited to his Own space.  (Selah)   I was going to quote the thirteen sayings from my motivational calendar I received. Maybe I'll do that come next year.
